i went to the cantaloupe after they refurb the front of the venue. the new menu they have put on is so diffrent to what they use to do. they have become the new gastro pub of shoreditch. service was fine, all the staff knew what they was doing.it is a very diffrent bar! so diffrent, it felt like a homely pub. im going to have my xmas staff party at the cantaloupe.

i would recommend the cantaloupe to any one in the area who is after a very good meal and a great atmosphire.

going back soon

Have not been here for ages, but pleasantly suprised, still good music, service and best steak in Hoxton, not up its own backside like so many other venues in area. had a great night..

With the Bricklayer's, a pioneer of the Hoxton scene and still does a super plate of tapas. However, it's only if you have a lily-livered pal with you who won't stand for the proper Hoxton experience - grimy, pretentious and initially unappealing bars that turn out to be a nice change. Becoming standard - an ale on tap would maybe turn things round.

I love the description of ferals (sic) being removed from this pub. The funny thing is at least they're not the pretentious individuals who populate this dump of a place. Style over substance, no ales, some 'sophisticated' foreign lagers are on offer, but frankly even the draw of continental lager cannot drive me to attend this place. Why people who go here fancy themselves so much is quite beyond me. Get over yourselves, but please do stay in places like this as you'd invade my space in a decent pub.

Dreadful

Rammo with home county luvvies who now think it's risque and daring to drink in East London. I wish they would beat a hasty retreat back to Northcote road.

Shoreditch is the new Notting Hill. sad but true, folks.

Oh, this place is complete pony by the way.
