I was expecting this pub to be open at 11am. But, it no longer opens until midday. In fairness to its website, it has been updated and is correct, unlike a couple of the other local hostelries that I will come to later. The Partridge enjoys a prominent location on the corner of the Market Square. It used to be a bank. The interior is certainly quite impressive. Although, other early drinkers instead preferred the outdoor area. Ales were all from the Fuller's range - London Pride, ESB & Botanist's Batch, Gale's HSB & Dark Star Hophead & Session. Nice enough building. But, whilst my beer was well-kept, it wasn't my ideal choice. My next stop was a brand new micropub called the Lock & Barrel, which I will request to be added to BITE.

On a summer's evening, you can sit in the garden, and take in the view of the church. Or, if you prefer, you can look at the large, dark, brick building with no windows, and reflect on the fact that people built that, and wonder why. I surmise that even after a few pints of Discovery you will still be wondering. There are worse ways to pass time though, some would say.

Seven hits that spot for me.

This is actually turning out to be a really good pub. It's only downfall is the prices, it's one of the most expensive boozers in Bromley. They regularly put on live music which is always a winner and guarantees it will be packed. Hats off to them for being the only pub to pay for live music in January and it payed off handsomely!

Decent enough Fuller's town centre pub.

Men can be seen hiding in here while womenfolk search for new bags said Simone de Beavouir or somebody.

Decent enough pub, although being Fullers a bit pricier than most in Bromley. No longer has Sky Sports (but does have BT)
