| This is no longer the Sixth Form Common Room for the local comprehensive school, thank goodness. Instead it has become the territory of White Van Man whose clans congregate around the bar and refuse to let anyone not in their clique room to buy a drink. Shame! | Was here just before a Reading v Cardiff game shown on Sky Sports. It was busy, so they must be doing something right I suppose. The bar staff were young and inexperienced. The pub has apparently had a makeover unlike the clientele. When they are smoking, they crowd the entrance, when they are drinking, they crowd the bar. Do not try and get past, you will be invisible to them. Served a cold, flat pint of London Pride. This is Fosters territory after all, the power of advertising to White Van Man runs deep here with the occasional rebel drinking Magners Oirish cider only because he watches a different channel.
