The Cherry Tree is a Wetherspoon's outlet not too far from Huddersfield station. It appeared very busy on my early Saturday afternoon visit, with bouncers on the door. But once past the entrance, service was quite quick and there was plenty of space to move towards the rear. Ales were Greene King Abbot, Elland 1872 Porter & White Prussian, Moorhouses Watchfinder General & Pendle Witches Brew, Acorn Dragon IPA, Springhead Exodus & Bradfield Farmer's Blonde. Ciders were Old Rosie & Black Dragon. Ok. But I probably wouldn't bother again with so many other decent pubs in Huddersfield, unless I was trying to use my CAMRA vouchers.

First port of call on my recent visit to the town. Sampled a fantastic pint of 1872 Porter at 6.5%. With a CAMRA card it only cost £1.95, giving extra value for money. Could not stay there all-day but it's okay for one or two.

Impressed with this friendly Spoons and it's range of beers. Will revisit when in Huddy.

A genuinely good pub these days.

Great selection of real ales, decently kept and usually served fairly well. Staff are always friendly and the pub itself is clean and comfortable.

A Wetherspoons. Ales were on offer, however i decided to partake of a coffee and take in my surroundings. A familiar clientele came into view, pensioners eating breakfast, middle aged alkies trying to improve their shakes, young students contemplating the "delights" of a northern town.

Wetherspoons.....................!
