Big and cavernous place somewhat lacking soul. Not much of a beer choice as this is a food-based pub with little or no time for the discerning ale-drinker. However, the food is OK (although microwaved of course) with a generous sized 'Mixed Grill' for only 5.99. Wouldn't go there just for a drink though.

This used to be my local before it got pulled down. Don't get me wrong, it was full of scallies before but at least everyone was friendly.
The new landlady is OK, but I'm not sure how a No Hoodies after 8pm policy is productive - especially when the pig van rolls up at 10am to break up the fighting anyway.
Perhaps they should focus on improving the gents toilets - they're constantly flooded and there's no walls to the gents cubicle.....perhaps that's an attempt to get people to speak to each other, but in a pub with a large turnover it's a disgrace they haven't been fixed.
On the plus side, it's got a good atmosphere for football, the staff are always great and I'll be in there on Friday - so it can't be all bad.
Fix the gents, stop the trouble and it'll be a half decent boozer - albeit a chain pub.

Used to be a good drinking house until they bulldozed the place and turned it into a second rate food bar. The good barstaff are constantly stuck in the kitchen or taking food to tables, the bad barstaff generally aren't visible and after waiting for ages to get a pint the service is appalling. Have been asking for a mixed from the same barmaid for months now and every time I ask I get the same questions, "Is that with lager, cider or mild.....is that with bitter as well?"
Avoid this place at all costs ! ! !
