Struck lucky as a beer festival was going on. Excellent choice of ales all well kept. Good large pub serving good food. well worth the visit if passing.

Great beer and pub. One complaint Mr landlord stop looking so miserable and sullen it puts people off returning, maybe try engagiyng in conversation with your punters.

Visited the H&H on Saturday 17th September with two other beer enthusiast friends. First impressions were that it was a bit Wetherspoonesque. We looked forward to sampling the delights from the board and as a Moorhouses fan I went for the Broomstick bitter, which took a while to clear. Before I had even tasted the beer I could feel that it was far too cold, the tasting confirmed this and we were all in agreement. During our visit we sampled six of the ten beers from the board. We were not over impressed with any of them and thought perhaps if any of them did have any outstanding qualities then these could have been masked by the extreme mouth numbing coldnes. The pub itself is clean and appeared civilised but lacked any soul or atmosphere. We caught the bus outside to take us to our spiritual home...The Trackside in Bury. When we told another of our friends at the Trackside where we had been he saild "COLD" and we agreed and left it at that. The visit was worthwhile in that we now know that we can exclude it from any future visits to Rammy. My rating is based on my opinion of this as a Real Ale Pub
