Old Bridge Inn, Kirkstallback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
I just bobbed in here. It's a very interesting layoit. Thought I'd try a half of the newishly brewed brudenell ipa, very decent and not too expensive for how the keg beers which are stronger seem to get priced (2.70) saying that, it is the brewery tap. They had a good selection of handpull, at least 8, half their own and half guests. I'd definitely look at coming back and trying some more heers.

Superb 3 mile canalside walk to this tap fro the excellent Kirkstall Brewery. Guest beers also available and all we had were in very good condition. Excellent food as well.

Fairly recently reopened by the Kirkstall Brewery mainly selling their beers. It is unusually configured with an upstairs bar (and back bar) and a dog friendly downstairs bar leading to a commodious car park and access to the Aire valley walk.
The pub has been sensitively restored with lots of interesting breweriana on the walls. There's a small bar menu (but be warned food stops at 8pm). My friend had a huge pizza and I had a Greek salad - both very tasty. Cold platters are available after 8pm.
The beers were in good condition, although not cheap. I had their Pale and Best Bitters
Definitely worth a trip out of Leeds.

Went into this pub around 4 years ago and had a great time watching the rugby league downstairs, lots of exposed stonework down there with low ceilings etc. 2 years ago I remembered this pub when looking again to watch a rugby league game, walked in and ominously the barmaid was at one end of the bar with around three strange characters, almost like a private bar. Cherrily asked her if the rugby was on, "we don't have Sky any more". It also looked like the downstairs was closed off. Had a rushed pint of some fizzy rubbish as it was a trek to anywhere else and only Tetley's on offer. Not been back since but the post below from July suggests it hasn't got back to how it was a few years ago.

Not sure how this pub was ranked 9 - I walked 3 miles along the canal in expectation of a top pub but was very disappointed.
No real ale for starters and little to justify a 9 rating. I turned around and walked back to Leeds.

Friendly locals and bar staff, a pleasant place to drink. Especially in the beer garden during the summer when the weather is good. Can not be beaten.
