Clapham junction is a great place for a night out lots of good bars. Revolution is one of the best.
Late bar and handy for the railway station.

This is now, as already pointed out, the Revolution Bar. Perfectly aligned tables where perfectly dressed punters sip their colourful brews while a DJ twiddles away in the background. 11 for a dazzling array of six shots, which was nice.

Now open as The Revolution Bar

You're right! Its now Revolution and its jolly pleasant.

i heard it was turning into a revolution vodka bar. should be a welcome addition to the bar scene. will be an ideal place for good afterwork drinks and before going to the grand.

At the time of writing, this pub is shut. I am not sure whether it is having a refurbishment or whether it will re-open as something else. I suspect the latter, as most pubs in the area are packed out throughout the week whereas this stays quiet. As other reviews allude, it's a pretty grim pub in an area where quite nice pubs/chains prosper.

What a dump - midway between the genteel "Between the Commons" and the grotty estates north of the railway lines - I will give you no prizes for guessing whch area this chav palace looks to for its customer base.

I've had the odd one in here because I used to be a member of Fitness First on the two floors above and its bloody grim.

If you can write your own name you are probably better off steering clear

This place had 35 Police call outs last year, need I say more.
TheWizard - 20 Jul 2005 04:15
Diabolical. A haunt for your mindless council estate thug brigade. The staff are just as mindless.
Steve_bond - 13 Jun 2005 18:22
Its a shame about this place. Its in a prime location however it sems to attract the "what ya looking at" crowd. The beer maybe cheap but the service is aweful and the locals look as if they have audtitiones for CrimeWatch UK.

TheWizard - 11 May 2005 02:43
Freakshow.

Fantastic evening. I went on a Maddness evening a couple of years ago. Ended up completed legless, maybe that is why it seemed so good. Made friends with EVERYONE in the whole pub. :o)

yates- altogether a great place to be, used to work there, staff put under alot of pressure on weekends and handled it amazeingly, considering! one of the best couple of months of my life...
jamie - [email protected] - 29 May 2004 05:42
This is the only pub I have ever been in where they run out of crisps, food, fruit juice, and eventually the electricity went off (so no beer) in one night!
denise - 11 Feb 2004 15:04
What a awfull pub! This is the worst I have ever seen, rubbish beer, poor service. The worst of the Weatherspoon type pubs, but if you are after a fight, cheep beer and pulling a drunk then this is your place!
David - 9 Jan 2004 08:07
Made my first visit last week. Easy to get served, staff were civil (if not friendly). No fights. Was I just lucky?
Alistair - 23 Dec 2003 09:35
The bar staff need some manners and they actualy need more staff on a weekend!
anon - 10 Dec 2003 11:16
Ever been to a weatherspoon's? This is exactly the same with music. No a great feel about the place and full of lots of dodgy looking people up to no good. "Are you looking at me"?
If you have some spare pennies, move onto a better bar. Lots around the area!
anonymous - 9 Dec 2003 19:48
Agree with James. Awful. Lots of great looking 'birds' in there though. I have to admit that!
robin - 3 Jun 2003 14:11
recently refurbished but still frequented by a similar clientele, mostly from the council estates. cheap but very kevie. i have been in 3 times and seen 2 fights.

I used to enjoy Socializing within Yates in Clapham Junction, only now i understand that you only accpet a passport or drivers licence as a form of ID, i am 21 i don't drive and feel its not safe to carry your passport around,is there another form of ID i could use, the bouncer also said that you do not accept the ID card which i actually picked up the application form (yates)which was the Prove It ID Card it that right? i would appreiate if you tell me if there are any other ID cards you accept.
