Following extensive refurbishment of the pub and reopening in December we are pleased to announce that we have introduced a brand new menu.
We are also very proud that following inspection recently by Health and Safety we have been awarded a Three Star "Scores on the Doors" certificate for our kitchen. This is clearly displayed on top of the new Juke Box in the bar.
All our food is fresh and home cooked and Sunday lunches are proving to be very popular, especially the REAL ROASTIES!!
Ziggy and Ernie have settled well into a new routine, they are the beautiful dogs, who live in their own building in the back garden! They are really enjoying their own new menu/diet courtesy of Oscar Petfoods.
Do give us a visit if you are passing, sunday lunch is 6.50 per head and under 10's eat free (one child per paying adult).

Brilliant time on Friday evening
"Floorspinners" was launched - huge success! well done to all involved for making this a night when all age groups could enjoy themselves. The music was brilliant, real variety and the atmosphere was really warm and friendly, just a real party atmosphere.

Love this pub on a Friday/Saturday night.

Great pub with an amazing atmosphere... bar staff are very friendly and entertaining... its nice to see young people behind a bar having a good time... all sorts out music provided by a DJ that gets everyone up dancing...

I think the new owners have done a brilliant job in turning this place round... Lovely food on a Sunday - and i know for a fact the dogs are kept outside.

Having noticed the recent refurbishment I was interested to see what had
been made of this previously run down pub. Was disappointed by the
ambience which would be ok for the Med but was distinctly uncosy for a chilly winter day in England. No Kent ales or any real beer. An opportunity missed

Recently refubished and under New Management, the Polhill Arms has changed into an extremely comfortable and exciting place to be.
Now being run by Max Sustins assisted by Peter Clarke, Rob Tuck and resident DJ Ryan Palmer who all worked closely together for the last two summers in Lindos, on Rhodes in Greece, a lovely atmosphere has been created conducive with all age groups where everyone is enjoying the lively evenings together with an exciting new menu which accommodates both children and adults alike. Sunday lunch is traditional roast dinners or choose from the extensive menu.
Recent successes have been a wonderful Elvis night and Christmas Eve and New Years Eve were terrific nights.
Last saturday three local lasses held their leaving drinks with us before departing for Australia for a year and the evening was a real success. Everyone enjoyed it very much.
We aim to build an environment for everyone to enjoy and to restore the huge public gardens to provide a lovely setting for barbeques in the Summer months, lets hope we get good weather this year.
Max and his staff look forward to serving you

Please do come and visit and enjoy the new

I have never been into the Pub but drive past it many times a week. There never sems to be anybody in here. I don't know how this place survives as there are hardly any cars in the car park and apart from a small development of council houses off the approach road to Fort Halstead there is hardly any residents around to use this as a local.
Has anybody been here before???
