Now called 'Fishers' following a recent refurb. Large pub and popular with the young. Very busy at the weekends. Dance floor and DJ. A must if having a night on the town.

Use to use the place when it first opened. Went in a couple of weeks ago, nothing has really changed, oh apart from the fact that the food is crap

Very popular with the younger crowd. Not bad to drop into on a crawl but best avoided fri/sat evenings.
On the 'sophisticated' debate I can only comment that if you find stripey jumpers and check shirts sophisticated then you won't find anywhere more sophisticated than here on a fri/sat night!

I agree with jemma18. Having London's West End on my doorstep for the last five years is good, but to come back to Preston once in a while and go to a "happening" pub....this is perfect. Although the queue for the bar sometimes can be 4 deep.
By the way, does anyone know what a hugh screen is?
I've heard of a plasma screen and hugh grant.
I think accountants must only be good at accounting.

The comment below's obviously from some old fogey. as I said before Squares is brilliant. it's been around for ages so I hear, previously wall street. Bars only last if people buy drinks there! That says it all.......

Massive place which means it feels dead most of the time, and the rest of the time it is a drinking hall for all the kids before they go to Tokes. Avoid unless you like that kind of thing. If you do like that kind of thing, you'll probably love this place. But then you probably love Steps too. Idiot.

Fantastic bar for all ages. Has been my favourite start to a crawl since sneeking about town at 16. The cocktails are brilliant and I like the hugh screen zooming in on people around the bar. Comfy leather sofas to relax on. Saturdays especially are really busy so there's lots of atmosphere (down side is busy bar). Pretty sophistocated but fun too, and the music's not bad at all. If it's yah birthday a gorgeous, fit staff member will do press ups over you on the bar while making you a cocktail. Topless! Mmmm.......

Horrid pub/nightclub, full of tarty types, aftershock drinkers and glitter.

this is a very pricey pub with beer & food very pricey it has two levels to this pub with a bar on ground floor and bottle bar on level 2 ther are 4 fruit machine and a quiz machine gets very packed at weekends not tryed food yet but its worth a go yum yum!
