Went in on a weekend evening, and very disappointed. Pub seemed to be on a low ebb, the beer (Brakespear) was a bit sharp, and worst of all the pub was dominated by a large group of hostile young locals who seemed to think they owned the joint and that it was fine to have a pop at passing trade such as us.

It and the Coachmakers vie for the title of best pub in the town Both are well worth visiting.

Visited on a quiet Saturday lunchtime when hot weather may have been keeping people in their gardens. Oxford Gold and Rye Smile both tasted excellent and the friendly host showed us round the lovely collection of characterful interconnecting but separate rooms. Must be full of atmosphere on a cold night with a good crowd in.

3 beers on - Brakspears Bitter and Oxford Gold, plus Hobgoblin. Beer in good nick. Decent atmosphere, friendly crowd or mixed ages, old-style boozer. One of the best in Wallingford.

Now on its 2nd lot of tenants in short order.
Early days.

Good decent local pub atmosphere. Open fire always a bonus. Brakspears 'Original' (that's the name anyway, even if it isn't from Henley any more) as good as you're going to get.

I was a bit worried for the future of the 'Keys in the post Bob & Ronnie world.

However, I'm pleased to report that Nick's doing an excellent job (not sure how good he is at plumbing though)
The loss of Stowford Press cider has been more than balanced-out with the (hopefully permanent?) addition of Brakspear's Organic Oxford Gold, about 4% and much less bitter than Ordinary.
Keep up the good work!

Nice place for a couple of drinks, good atmosphere, pity I'm not that keen on Brakspear's beers generally!

Nice traditional Brakspears pub just outside the Town Centre, serving Brakspears which is of course not brewed in Henley anymore. Note the Cross Keys insignia pub sign. Very close to the Coach and Horses ( Fullers ) by the green which is also worth visiting

Just been back in after a longish gap - still much the same as it was in the days of those first under-age (sorry Joe) drinks there thirty years ago. As good a local as you could wish for.

A nice pub in an ideal location but I found the landlord to be very rude and arrogant. Very smokey inside which makes it uncomfortable, I won't be visiting again.

A great local, with well kept "Ordinary" as well as Brakspear's Special (usually) and often their seasonal beers.
Nice beer garden, jukebox, darts and Aunt Sally
Can get a bit smokey!
The friendliest and finest pub in Wallingford.

The nicest pint I've had for a long time

Excellent Brakspears & always a good atmosphere during the Wallingford Bunkfest weekend in September.

One of the friendliest pubs I've been in for years. A proper sunday roast, well kept Ales and went out of the way to acknowledge my two year old.. Will certainly go back.

This used to be run by one of the Wallingford characters "Joe" I think, he would never take a glass out of your hand only off the bar.

Mind you it was brilliant pint of Brakspears, and there was a juke box in the back parlour with original Beatles, Pinky & Perky & Justin Heywood (Forever Autumn).

Those were the days ...

I will return.
