Much more welcoming these days, lacks atmosphere at times but can get very rowdy some nights. Usual option of drinks ( lager around 2.45). Large converted car park now serves as a seated area for (mostly) smokers. Hard to love but give it a go if you're in the area.

Yet another old blokes pub which I suppose suits some people. Not me though. too quite for a Wednesday at seven in the evening for my taste. Being the only girl in the place could have been a bit scary but everyone was non-intrusive so that was OK. Still the place was clean and toilets very good. Would give it another go as I have had it recomended, but, no real ale so that is a bit of a big NO.

I recently visited this pub over the weekend, as a stop off for a quick drink, found it to be, extremely vibrant and ended up staying there the entire night singing karaoke. Its really nicely decorated, with a great ambiance. Its under new management, but I got talking to one of the locals whom was extremely friendly and told me that he likes it better now its all posh!

Was in here yesterday, Guinness was good and the Barman quick.
Got talking to one of the old Locals, a fella called Tom.We going on about the decline of the British Local. Now i had never met the fella before, but we had a decent chat, what ya typical London pub use to be famous for.
Sadly this is a rarity these days , not the norm.
I would defo use the pub again

I was in here last week and found the pub to be nothing spectacular. There is a pool table at the rear and some of the pub is closed off for renovation. The front of the pub is a large high ceilinged room with some sofas on a step up to the side.

I got the feeling that it is very much a locals pub and a lone gentleman walking in on his own will be treated as suspect. One thing that was definitely suspect was my flat pint of lager. Also, Im not sure what the attraction is with playing Magic on the plasmas whilst love ballads are being blasted out, especially when 90% of the patrons are over 65.

There are better pubs in the area.

Shooting in the Carpark??
Sounds like its getting back to what it was years ago, i do love tradition

Great ... if you want to hang out wth old men watching the racing. Fights are not uncommon, was even a shooting in the carpark recently. Smokers are permanently camped in the entrance.

I have just spent 10 days in this pub doing a relief for the manageress whilst she went away on holiday, initially I was nervous about going to London to do this relief, but to my surprise I found the pub and staff to be really nice, the pub has a great atmosphere. Would gladly go back there to run the pub in their abscence. Angie is a fantastic manager and a credit to the pub, also the staff there are amazing and I thank them for making my relief so enjoyable.

This is an excellent pub. I have lived in the area for a while and drank in here before it's refit.
They have the friendliest bar staff in town and they all make this the most welcoming pub in North London. Hilarious Karaoke at the wkend and a parrot behind the bar. Live bands and good old fashioned pub food. Brilliant. Only thing letting it down is choice of wine.
