Excellent Ale 5 for the weekends and a minimum of 3 at all other times, the best range of cider in the city bar none. this pub has had a nice refers and is now pushing forward to become a top ale, cider bar.

What a turn around, I havn't bothered with this pub for years because it was pretty dire. Intrigued by littlecon's words my cuz and I popped in and ended up staying for 3. All ales we tried were in great condition and the staff were very friendly. Clearly being used by all generations, the new owners deserve support. The ale was also very much cheaper than other local pubs £2.90 as opposed to £3.40 in the Red/white/blue. Give this pub a go you will be pleasantly surprised at the transformation we saw.

re=opened today, ignore previous votes/comments, a great new addition to the Southsea pub scene, 6+ beers, 18+ ciders, looks very promising

Due to re-open next week, stuck my head round the door yesterday, looks a totally different pub, and a bank of handpumps, looks very interesting, I'll report back soon

Plus points..
The beer selection is pretty good and they have decent live music acts.

Minus points..
You get hair everywhere from the dogs. On your beer glass, on your clothes, everywhere!

I'll give it an 8 if they hoover up!

Top quality pub. The best pint of HSB I have had in Pompey. 50p a go pool table and dartboard when its not in use. It can be a bit of a hit and miss pub as in the evening it becomes packed with locals and regulars, but in the day you are likely to find some fine characters.

Good prices and great barstaff although the venue gets very smokey in the evening. One of the nicest pub dogs as well, and even though the pub doesnt do food the best chinese I have had in a long time comes from across the road! Get your order in and have another HSB!

The Life O'Riley recently played this venue and found it to be a good, fun venue, with friendly bar staff, energetic but not overly boisterous clientele and it has to be said, it was bloody good fun!! What i remember of the night, I think that the beer is cheap(ish)
