Would agree it's more tourist bar than pub. I'd give the ales a miss as they were undrinkable so I went for lager here.

More pizzeria than pub but three real ales on: Deuchars; Directors; and a nice pint of Caledonian Red Autumn. Young staff very polite. Low ceiling and bland soul soundtrack try to create a feeling of intimacy but fall some way short. Quiet on the night we were in; what customers there were looked more like tourists than local. Despite having the atmosphere of a restaurant, my breaded haddock was very disappointing: burnt on the outside, dry on the inside. Very clean.

A favourite of mine with excellent beer and food. Good deals too. Wood burning pizza oven, pool table and plenty space to watch sport on the numerous TVs.

Waterline is defo one of the better pubs down the Quay. Normally pop in a few on the weekend. For food itis class. Serve great grub. Normally get decent pint and staff always friendly!

Smart bar/pizzeria on Newcastle's Quayside. Fantastic food and a fab place for Sunday drinking on the patio.
