It's a fair walk from Hereford city centre to this pub, as I soon discovered! As previous reviews have said, it's a Greene King pub, with their IPA & Morland Original & Old Golden Hen on offer. The drinking area is an inverrted L-shape with a dining area towards the rear and a garden beyond. It was busy on my Saturday evening visit and it took a while to get served. Not worth the jaunt out of the centre.

This was a brilliant pub for a GreeneKing one. I was pleasantly suprised to see the guest ales. They only had 1 Greene King on and that was a Ruddles beer. Guests came from Mordue, Black Hole and Dark Star and were excellent beers. Well worth the bus trip out of town. Deserves its Good Beer Guide entry.

A Green King "Big Plate Pub".Looking a bit worn now but a friendly welcome. Unusual is the fact this stocks guest ales and I have never had a bad pint here. Drank a few pints of White Star Titanic..lovely stuff. Also had White Horse bitter and Speckled Hen on hand pumps. Food is better than average for this chain.

Extremely friendly and sure know their beer.
The pub quiz causes brain damage but is fun!
Proper pub grub, no messing!
They looked after us well.

We shall visit again soon.

Family orientated pub - reasonably well kept, pleasantly cheap, beer.

Big portions of good value food, chips with everything mind, but so long as you choose carefully from the extensive menu you'll be OK. Pub itself was quite big, looked tidy and bar area was clean.

Good service, food came quickly too.

Nice area outside aswell - I think I'd rather come here than stay in town for lunch to be honest.

Aircon was a bit noisy in the non-smoking section, but not offputting enough to move.

Ridiculously hard pub quiz though! Still its good for exercising the brain. Great pub.
