Was the Bickley Arms for many moons (centuries in fact) before being renamed as the 'Ye Old Station Master' circa 1997. Then it descended into becoming a nasty, dirty dive for the next decade. Re launched as 'The Bickley' - (see under other pubs in Chislehurst) a couple of years ago. Although I haven't been there since its relaunch, friends & family members have, and have been impressed with its newly acquired standards of food & drink. Will pay it a visit one day.

Large, average but pleasant enough pub with three nationally distributed ales.

lively - not welcoming though - too many chavs

It's been through a couple of superficial changes over the years, but it's always been The Bickley Arms to me. Beer selection is pretty ordinary, but the staff are lovely and the variety of people makes it interesting. Jukebox is fab, food is very cheap and the beer garden is great in summer, not to mention large!

This is a great pub to start an evening off. The food is cheap and the portions are big. The jukebox is great and plays good music. Loud. Drinks are also cheap for Chislehurst. But despite this the pub doesn't have a very welcolming feel, which may be due to it's large size and lack of decoration, which is why is a good place to start but not to finish. Clientele is odd - half late 20s/early 30s
trendies and half baseball cap wearing teenagers.
(observation based on Fri & Sat nights).

Went in there on a Thursday night - fairly not full. Good range of music from Elvis (if you like that sort of thing) through the Pouges to Chill Peppers with a decent sound system. Two pool tables and a Bar Billiards table, which makes it worth a visit just for that. Standard range of beers, but despite being one of those new wood and lights places a good place to spend the evening.
