Popped in here on Sunday to watch the Gaa, great atmosphere and staff had a lovely and well priced Sunday Roast,.
Would def recommend and will be back.

Just went it to watch the Chelsea match. Rubbish selection of drinks + expensive. Barman charged me, gave me one drink and wondered off leaving the other pint half served and totally forgetting about it. After my empty pint was removed from our table we were told that we had to order again if we wanted to carry on watching the footy. Is that legal?? + If I want to order again, I'll do so when I feel like it! Is this custom in London? Never happened to me up north. What happened to the 'pub experience'? If it's treated like nothing more than 'money making' you're barking up the wrong tree.

This pub caught my eye while walking along Fulham broadway with friends, we went in for a quick drink and a bite to eat - ended up staying for the whole night! Had great live music, fantastic atmosphere.

Im heading back there to watch the Rugby with my boyfriend next week!

I can highly reccommend Brogan's!

Nice Irish bar full of character and frighteningly clean, I've seen dirtier hospitals. Would reccomend!

Not a bad place for a pint of the dark stuff. Lots of nooks and cranies.
Food is ok but nothing special. Alas poor beer selection if you don't like guiness, and no garden.
MrBlue - 29 Apr 2009 17:56
Went in an took advantage of the 2 for 1 lunch offer which was surprisingly good, a great pint of Guinness as well. Loved the little area downstairs where we ended up getting the space to ourselves and our own private TV screen for the football.

FFS - why do we need so many pseudo Paddy pubs in London. This is not the worst by any means and is ok for a beer on match days but at any other time is to be avoided - it was far better as the White Swan with bands on a Sunday lunchtime

Symptomatic of how grim Fulham Broadway is along with the Slug and the old White Hart where the guy was shot a short while back.
murgatroyd - 25 Jan 2009 23:07
been in here a couple of times and all was good, both visits on football days whilst the game was in progress. busy but not rammed and the volume was loud enough to hear but not deafening. nice looking menu and the food looked really good as it went past. didnt have time to eat as i was meeting someone but i will definatly go back in the future. i hear its a good craic at the weekends.

that 'over 21s' story does seem overreaction. I'd think that normally that kind of rule is something that _can_ be invoked if someone looks like they're causing trouble - but you weren't - not something that has to be adhered to as if it were gospel. Clearly in Fulham they think they can always drum up a couple hundred more punters from somewhere. But such behaviour will often turn round and bite a pub in the arse.

In terms of the bars near Fulham Broadway station this is in my view the best. Never seen it heaving (may be I don't stay out late enough) and the staff are always friendly. The Guinness is good, and the place in general is pretty tidy. If you're arranging to meet up with some one in Fulham and want to find a half decent place to start out.

on entering i was id'd and thats fine cause i look young, i showed my drivers licence and was allowed in. i went and bought a drink and proceeded to have a nice evening, if not a bit expensive. however come my round i approach the bar and suddenly with complete unprovoked rudeness the barman, who looked little over 18 himself told me the place was 21's and i should get out. i shugged off the bad manners and left to go and sit back down. however two minutes later the man approached our table and without saying anything snached my bottle of becks out of my hand and pointed to the door. i dont have a problem with the rules, 21's is 21's but i only ask then not to allow me in on the assumption that it is 18's and then act in such a rude and insulting way. i only ask to be shown some respect when im out spending my hard earnt money.

Great fun and very good staff. Go there a couple of times and they make you feel welcome. Guinness is one of the best in West London. Fri & Sat can be very busy because it is free entry and open till 1am. Show most sports including GAA so gets a lot of Irish in there adding to the 'craic.'
Worthers77 - 7 Nov 2006 11:01
It's an okay place for a rowdy pint on match days, and it's not a bad pub at all for a quiet pint in the afternoon. It can get very busy in the evenings, but I guess that's not a bad thing if you're the pub manager.

I echo the comments about the Guinness. It is really very good here.
ye73812 - 18 Oct 2006 16:10
In Fulham, which has a real paucity of decent boozers, this place actually stands out a little. Granted, it's not really an authentic Irish pub but the crowd are decent enough types and the atmosphere is generally pretty good. The food is ok too.

Its big selling point, however, is the Guinness. It's genuinely excellent, and I honestly can't think of a pub in west London that can match it for quality. So pop in for a few pints of G if not for nothing else.
dazzler - 27 Sep 2006 18:20
Very much liked this pub until my bag was robbed, along with 4 others last friday.

Apparently this is becoming commonplace here - this place is good craic but watch your stuff!
anonymous - 1 Aug 2006 14:15
expensive with a capital E!
fat_beer_badger - 1 Jun 2006 14:42
Better than the immediate local competition but still a dive. Horribly done faux-Irish ambiance bizarrely juxtaposed with Chelsea fans singing "No surrender to the IRA" after home games.

The tube station is over the road - use it, and go somewhere more pleasant. Nearly anywhere is.

Check out live Oz band UNSAFE PASSAGE Friday 27th January from 10pm.

Superb pub, best in the area and being a Chelsea supporter for many a years I know almost all the bars in this area !!!!!
Been to a few gigs there too and always had a great time, highly recommended !!!!

The tossers across the road (S&L not the White Hart) could learn a thing or two from the people who run this place, keep up the good work guys and gals and hope to be back soon !!!!

Been here and was glad to see they have changed the menu. I rate this pub very highly for the broadway as it seems to be the only one left with a good atmospheric feel to it.
like the staff at the moment as well, they are very friendly.
rose - 30 May 2004 11:06

rob - 9 Apr 2004 17:03
Really enjoyed our experiance in there on sunday.
We were a large group of 30 who only intended to stay for a while but we ended up there the whole night. Good food and the dj went down well at the end. Pity about the head the next day though

debbie - 17 Feb 2004 21:22
fantastic place. better than the kip across the road. sorry slug and lettuce. this place is clean, friendly, well run , keep up the good work
jean - 15 Feb 2004 14:06
I was in this pub on thursday the 12th february 2004 it was open until midnight.

At 23:05 they decided to clean the pumps and turned off all the draught beers forcing you to buy bottles i suggested they wait until the pub was closed but they disagreed.

I think the service is slow and staff are rude and managment just want to rip punters off!
gerry - 15 Feb 2004 12:42

Hi
This pub is not a bad drinking hole
it is cosy, friendly and inviting so why not take advantage of these
good parts as you do not find them anywhere else around here
paul mc bride - 22 Jan 2004 13:02
Relaxed atmosphere with heaps of hideouts. Easy to get service and a seat.
Lyndon - 23 Dec 2003 17:17
This has wicked music now. I ENJOYED and danced the night away last Saturday, I was really surprised at how good the atmosphere was.
Carol - 23 Oct 2003 12:57
the former Swan and not quite as horrible as it might be given the name change. Kronenbourg 2.70 a pint; is there any real ale? I doubt it. Reminds me a bit of the Three Kings: staircases going up and down, a lot of dark wooden decor.A lot of the customers are BYFs (Beautiful Young Fulhamites). Should be called the "Swan" though.
Chris - 30 Aug 2003 08:44
Not a bad bar as such for young trendies but Im biased as I I remember it as the far superior Swan wjich had 3 bands on a night for 5 and bar open until 2o/clock - happy days!
Paul J - 27 Aug 2003 13:28
very good atmosphere on thursday's and is as good as any other bar in the broadway.
music is getting better, good if your from s.a
john kelly - 25 Jul 2003 16:05
Expensive, dingy, and the seats round the front are way too high - food is also overpriced with small portions. The Guinness is good, everything else watered down in common with pubs around Fulham Broadway.
Joel - 23 Jun 2003 11:34
Too expensive.
