I visted the littern tree a few months back and also had a member of staff arguing with another member of staff behind the bar over ice. Once I finally got my drinks I then had to wait for ages for my food to be served and on two ocassions before hand they presented me with someone elses order. The food was not that great to be honest.

I then went again today (why i dont really know) and once again the service was very disappointing and the food again was not enjoyable. I ordered a BBQ chicken wrap with potatoe skins it was dry and had no taste what so ever.

I have decided to give this place a miss until something changes. Digress directly opposite is really good and great value for money.

Pretentious and pricey. This place would be perfect for broad street. Ive got to admit the sofas are very comfy and it is really clean, but theres just no real atmosphere, and if you arent wearing a suit you are going to feel uncomfortable. Nip down the road to the Hogshead or try out the plethora of "old man" looking pubs around snow hill, like the Old Royal

I went to The Litten Tree this lunchtime(my first time since it was refurbished two weeks ago) and, my word, how things have changed! The manager was serving behind the bar but drinks only.
Me: "So who do I ask for food?"
Manager: (shrugging) "Anyone else."
And he promptly moved on to the next customer without even an apology. He was also too occupied in telling off his staff to let them do their jobs properly. When I got served, I ordered a Steak & Ale pie and a pint of Strongbow. The meal cost me 5.75, while the drink cost 3.20!! The drink was cloudy and the food was really quite bad. I will visit again to see if the situation has improved, but under current management I will not be recommending The Litten Tree to anyone.

What a find! A city centre pub with friendly staff and decently priced beer and food.
The Litten Tree is situated just off Colmore Row and within easy walking distance of both Snow Hill and New Street railway stations. The pub situated in a former nightclub is bright, clean and well maintained. Cosy sofa's high stools and sperate eating area with tables and chairs - the choice is yours. Large TV screen showing mainly sports programmes is tucked away and doesn't intrude into the area for people just wanting a quiet drink.
Food incudes Sausdage & Mash (4.95), 16oz Rump Steak & Chips (10.95) and Roasted Half Chicken with Fries, peas and gravy (4.95).
Beer comes in cheap at 3.52 for 2 pints of larger and even less for bitter!!
