Now shut - re-opened as Opulence. Apparently "the only bar outside London to offer Cristal and Krug by the glass". Seemed a bit cramped and cheesy to me.

The indie night in here on a Thursday is quality. Keep it going, bout time someone did this in Alty!

Nice to see the manager is aware of the problem and has acted .. Its amazing what a bit of bad publicity can do .. and just for the writer of the last review.. Are you really that sure about your son If you are you must keep him on a very tight rein. By the way how do you know the girls were 18 did they show their IDs Nice to see my earlier comment has provoked some thought. Thanks too all involved icluding the manager.

maybe your too old and a bit of a Victor Meldrew.
i saw some young girls but they were actually 18 which makes me feel very old
quite frankly if parents are concerned about their children they should stop blaming other people and keep a closer eye on what their children are getting up to, i would never let my 16 year old son out of the house, if i knew he was going to pubs, shame on you

Went to see a U2 tribute band there last night, great night, great band, great atmosphere and a midnight buffet included, what more could you ask for?

Favourite bar in Alty. No trouble whatsoever and drink prices consistant and reasonable.
Very chilled during the week and great atmosphere at the weekend. Music could be varied a little more.
Feel comfortable going in alone as staff are chatty, friendly and make you feel at home. They are like one big happy family!
Overall a big smile and thumbs up!

Its quite nice in here, they have great sandwiches if your on your lunch hour.
prices are ok.
The interior is very wooden a bit echoey - friendly staff too.

This is definately a bar rather than a pub. Not a great atmosphere but folks in there seem to know each other so an easy enough feeling. Chemic plus speciality bottles.

Great Bar, Relaxed atmosphere , friendly staff and none of the element that cause trouble in other places in Alty make this place a refreshing change. Best Bar in Alty.

Decent bar/pub with frequent comedy and music nights. Budweiser Budvar on tap; the food is tasty and good value.
