I really love this place. Only moved down here 3 years ago and ended up going to the White Lion every Wednesday.
The Landlady made us feel so welcome and the bar staff is great too. Everyone is always up for a laugh.
It's a nice Pub with a great selection of Drinks, including Tea, Coffee, Latte etc.
The inside is lovely decorated, i especially love special occasions as i love how much detail they put into the decoration, without making it look cheap or too much.
The outside is really nice too. I love the new Tables and Chairs to the front. And not to forget the little "Garden" bit out the back.
The live music is great too with never a dull moment in sight. I never had any trouble with "drunks" as this place is kept nice and peaceful. So if you're looking for a great night out i would come here any time. 10/10

my favourite pub in chatham, clean, nicely decorated inside and out. Outdoor tables and chairs is great in the summer. Great pool table, poker night on wednesdays, kareoke on sundays, beer garden out the back with a covered area to keep you dry if the weather is not so great. Friendly staff and a landlady with a great sense of humor i strongly reccomend this pub

I go to this pub regularly, atmosphere is great, the people are friendly. The landlady is great and always up for a laugh and welcoming, the reputation people give it is not there anymore, it has had a total overhaul and is a nice enjoyable night out always.

Absolutely fantastic pub. Its been completely redecorated both inside and out in the past few months. The inside now has flat screen tvs, brand new furniture and a jukebox with a great selection of music. The outside has also had a refurb with tables and chairs out front which will be perfect in the summer. Theres also a new beautifully decorated beer garden out the back. The pub also regularly has bands playing on a saturday night.

The atmosphere is also great and seems very welcoming with friendly Landlady and Bar Staff. Good selection of lagers, bottled beers, spirits, wines, soft drinks and teas and coffees.

Highly recommend this pub!

This pub is the best pub I have been in bar none. The atmosphere is great, and the landlady is extremely friendly.
The pub has recently been completely re-decorated, with a new interior and a beer garden. There is also an area infront of the pub which has tables, chairs and heaters for the coming summer. It has to be known that the pub not only sells alcohol, but also excellent tea and coffee's.
There are also various music and poker nights to keep all customers happy.

10/10.

haven't been here for years, popped in a couple of weeks ago and my god how it has changed. the outside has had a face lift and so has the inside... looks like all new furnishings there are now large flat screen tv's and a pool table. the staff were friendly, still alot of the old faces in there but thats the way it has always been. id say its not a bad pub... dont always judge a pub by its previous reputation, go in and judge for ya selves

A terrible pub with a terrible reputation. Only been in there once and witnessed a fight. Left in a hurry

Well this pub is basically the sort that I wouldnt take my worst enemy into its the pits I popped in in sat eve at 10pm really just for curiousity value as it had fairly recently been given a lick of paint but you wouldnt have noticed to be honest.
they had some cheesy disco or should i say crap music coming out of some speakers and there were about 10 locals in there a few old blokes at bar trying to mutter along to songs like come on eileen!!dreadful stuff.
I couldnt wait to finish my weak pint of john smiths smoothflow had to drink this as there was no choice of ales it was 2.50 so not as expensive as so rip off rochester but its a pub located in chathams arse end which is not a good advert as chatham is just old tat at best.
Dreary depressing and thats its good points the landlady wasnt very welcoming I just find it hard to believe these places exist and survive now.

Anyone venturing in to this place must surely do so in the knowledge that it is not a Home Counties family friendly gastro pub. It is a run down boozer in the tatty end of a tatty town. I went in Sat lunchtime and listened in a while. Most of the customers in there are just trying to forget. Got chatting to one bloke who was just out of a life stretch in Elmley (HMP in Sheppey) and he said as much; just there to get smashed, forget, leave, crawl home and repeat until something better comes along. No food, no ales but the lager was surprisingly good!

Terrible pub with a deservedly terrible reputation.

There are problems at night, problems during the day and no doubt problems at all other times. There is a hardcore element of locals which seem to permanently inhabit it, including loud, barely-legal teens and heavily boozed drinkers who seem to thrive in making the place virtually uninhabitable.

Many pubs have closed locally but people living in the area wouldn't shed any tears if this place shut up shop for good. Tatty, rough and does nothing for local people or the community. Avoid like the proverbial plague.

Awesomely bad pub. Looks bad on the outside - but it's worse on the inside. We didn't want to drink, we didn't want to sit down, we didn't want to touch anything, and we didn't want to stay. We got caught in conversation by a smelly old lady. The regulars here may be rough and lacking in self-esteem, and a little bit odd, but they're not violent. Just sad.

Keep seeing the owner in the local rag demanding an end to street drinking in Chatham. Perhaps in the hope the tramps and winos will move indoors and raise the standard of customer. Horrible pub.

Ick. Just very, very ick. Walked in here with a newspaper and got glared at as though my 'type don't belong round here...'. Twho little chavs sat at the next table recounting their exploit in a nightclub and then a police cell the night before.

No. Very no.

Horrible. Nice sign outside said 'Good Food, Real Ales'. I wouldn't eat anything in it in a million years and there is no ale. Had to make do with Kroney. Not quite real ale is it. I didn't venture to the toilets but my girlfriend said they were one of the worst she had ever seen.
