Called in past for a meal and a drink, both very good. Well prepared food and a good selection of beer. One of many in HB I am sure but well worth a visit.

Stopped in for a pint of Black Sheep after a day's cycling recently. It was a boiling hot day and the cool, crisp beer slipped down a treat. I have visited this pub many times over the last ten years and it has now moved its trade more towards dining and group events than drinking. This is hardly surprising though as Hebden Bridge has many cosy little boozers, so a pub of this size has to diversify in order to survive. The beer has always been well kept and sitting outside on a nice summer day hits the spot.

a restaurant masquerading as a pub, too shiny and seemingly inconvenient for drinkers to settle easily. It is is trying to be quite modern but feels baseless and empty in style and clientele - ale is overpriced but well kept.

We stayed here weekend of the flood - the rooms are very nice and they have not skimped on the re-furb - good selection of ales but at 3.50 pint!! Also would not sell us a pint of ale after hours (residents) but happy to sell wine or bottled lager both of which I detest. The breakfast was good local ingredients and we were well attended to.

Yes, had an expensive refurb, which is shown through its beer prices. It is Enterprise Inns, so why not search out a proper freehouse and knock a pound off your pint of beer

The Timothy Taylor's Landlord served up here was the freshest, tastiest pint I have had in a long time. The pub is part of a hotel in an interesting historic building and is an upmarket kind of environment.

Recently reopened, so I went to check it out with a friend. It was almost empty - I am NOT surprised!
CHECK PRICES before you order. We were charged SEVEN POUNDS for two pints of Moorhouses.
We won't be going again.

A shadow of its former self. Now frequented by people who don't know any better. I cannot speak too lowly of this ghastly place.

My second visit to this excellent pub. Timothy Taylor Landlord was in excellent condition today!

Good beer on offer. Food was excellent, served by very freindly staff. Highly recommended

A rather dark town pub. Young staff but pleasant and attentive. Flowers Original was good but the food was only average and not all the menu items were available (it took me three choices to get a meal).

We stayed here on Saturday night (we usually stay here when in the area) as my friend held a birthday party at the nearby Hole In T' Wall pub. My haddock and chips was very nice (my little lad had the same but a kids portion) but my wife's lamb was apparently tough and overcooked. Our friends seemed reasonably happy with their food. The Stella was fine and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast the next morning was very nice but the service was painfully slow. Never mind, we'll hopefully stay here next time we're in the area.

Old stone pub/hotel. Several areas to sit, cosy near bar with real fire. Friendly staff. Taylors Landlord, Black Sheep, Flowers Original and guest beer. Taylors Landlord was on the turn, replaced with a another beer and a smile, pumpclip turned around until sorted, sign of a good pub.Food good and substantial.

we stayed here for one night and i would definately stay again. the room was in the building adjacent to the pub and it was like having your own flat. excellent. if i'm going to nitpick, we drank lager and tried three different varitities and all three were flat. the food, whilst tasty and in monster portions, was heated some what unevenly. i couldn't finish the breakfast it was so big. for god's sake, don't have cereal or you'll explode.

The best pub in Hebden Bridge (and there are some good ones). The building is a 17th century coach house. There is a hotel attached, I think. The beer is as good as you would expect in an old fashioned Yorkshire pub (delicious!). Good meals served (large portions) and reasonable prices . . but . . Oh God . you must try the hot Steak and Red Onion sandwich on Ciabatta Bread - you'll never be the same person again! The finest sandwich I've ever tasted and I travel A LOT around the UK (visiting many pubs, well you have to, don't you).
