Strange little place; and when I say little both in the sense of capacity and how low the ceilings are. It’s made worse by the fake beams and posts they have put in which the manager took great delight in pointing out.
Only stopped in for one as I was the only patron and the manager made me feel welcome while we ‘shot the breeze’ for 10 minutes or so. I assume it does the bulk of its trade over the weekend, but for a Tuesday night, couldn’t complain.

On a student night out it's a good place to get drunk. Trebles are �3.75. Tuesday evenings it is virtually impossible to move around, you have to swim through the bodies. Good for endrunkening and meeting people before heading off to Tru. Not good for much else.

A place to get drunk extremely quickly, drinks are tripled up rather than doubled. Non exsistant atmosphere + generally bad crowd. The crown jewl in the mickelgate run.

Triples for Singles is an absolute killer. This place is normally packed and used as a warm up bar for a nightclub.

People get very, very drunk here, that is the places main pull. Good for those off to Toffs or Ziggy's (York's Superclubs) but has little else going for it. But I still occasionally go there... go figure??

Not bad really, can get very busy but the atmosphere is fine, even on racenights.
