Called in here last Sunday in October and was impressed with how this bar has changed since I remembered it as The Constellation back in the late 80's. Beer was good and karaoke was in full swing. Liked the fact that they served until Midnight. Clientele were friendly too. Would call again.

Best pub in Harrow by a country mile. Friendly place!! Still my second home.

Great pub. Not many like these left. Really friendly and comfortable. Nice group of locals

A lively pub next to South Harrow Station. Has bands and shows football matches. beer is inoffensive but not great although the draught beer lines are cooled which is a bonus. Thai food is good but price of rice astronomical considering the portion size which is too small for the main course which is strange!!

Ok for watching footy on saturday - loads of screens showing agood selection of matches. Apparently there's live music as well, but the beer was so bad I won't be going back in a hurry. It used to be my local but maybe my taste has improved.

What a friendly place. I only just moved back to Harrow and it was nice to see that there is still a nice place to have a few drinks in the evening. Nice to see the its not all local pubs are full of chavs. A nice local and not too expensive. Pop in, and enjoy!

Oh dear, maybe I am getting VERY old. Visited The Star Fri 6 Mar to find 2 teenage scrubbers laying on the sofa's at the back, both dressed in black shorts and low-cut black shirts, push-up bra's, high heels, lashings of make-up, legs wide open, the blonde with a blokes hand up her croth, and the brunette with 2 blokes - 1 snogging her and feeling her breasts, the other bloke putting his had up her shorts! Not a single member of staff asked them to stop or leave. All the blokes in the pub were licking their lips, no doubt waiting for their turn. The two girls looked very young, no way over the age of 18, let alone the age of concent. They looked like a couple of whores. South Harrow is turning into a kharzi of disease ridden slags and heathens.

at last a pub that has live bands and a decent size too! Best jukebox I have ever seen. Forget the cack reviews beloe, they are way out of date, the pub has come on well since the old days (and even then it was not bad - I reckon the other reviewers were wine bar oiks)

Used to be an excellent Firkin pub (One of David Bruce's Firkin chain) that sold decent ales. Then when he sold it, Spirit Group tried to linger onto the Firkin Pub Co name but it didn't last. Now run by Punch Taverns and quite nice although they've still only got one real ale on and the toilets are still poor!.
**Nice to see the original FIRKIN ashtrays still there - may be collectors items!**

since the new ownership this pub has come on in leaps& bounds. the new menu is out of this world, real ales are back(only1@the mo but its a start),& the atmosphere has lost its drug idiot stigma. well worth a visit.

Used to be "The Constellation" Built in 1957. Rubbish then, rubbish now.

This pub is finished unless they get the live bands playing there again.Good food but no atmosphere.

I live very close to this pub but I dont go there. Thats because its often full of fighting locals, old rockers, townie-type wideboys and girls.who look like they belong there. Unless you fit into the above categories, avoid in the evening. There are tables in the car park, though, so you can have a beer outside in good weather and watch the bus terminus opposite. SO it's not all bad.

danielle - 18 May 2004 15:18
3 Fridays per month from 8pm - 1am DJs Scott and Duane AKA ENVY will be playing the latest tunes from RnB, Garage and HipHop as well as some older stuff that'll make you get up and dance. It's a good night out so come down and take a look for yourselves. This pub used to be a packed lively venue and with these 'good-time' boys I'm sure it will be again real soon. Oh, and they ain't half bad lookin neither! Come down :-)

Nice Firkin pub with a MUCH better atmosphere than before the refurb. Staff were friendly and food was good.
Dave - 28 Apr 2004 12:28
This large pub has just undergone another refurbishment. It looks a lot better than it did, but there is still that underlying shabbiness that the locals enjoy.

Food is the usual Firkin fare. Beer wise, non of the handpumps seemed to be working and the bitter was poured from a barrel. It wasn't bad, but I hope the pumps are working before too long.
