I have always found the staff here to be very friendly here yes some of the locals can be a bit cliquey but where is the pub anywhere that is not like this!
I have been going there on and off for 7 years especially more recently because of the VERY GOOD THAI ORCHID restaurant next door
The Pub used to have live music there and it was really good but now has tried to change it's image
50/50 on whether this is an improvement or not

The creepy Irish bar man/throwback referred to in previous posts has now gone and yes he did he have a roving eye to say the least and he did make comments about some of the women that frequented The Miners that would be not well received by the people the comments were made about.

Or a machete attack maybe?

You know how some "locals" pubs remind you of Phoenix Nights a bit?

Well this one doesn't.

You just feel that you're in imminent danger of being stabbed.

And the throwback behind the bar? Well put it this way. I could hear Duelling Banjos. :-0

Only noticed the London Pride of the ales on draught. Like a typical pub in so many ways, found the way the soap in the lavatories has a very creamy texture to it

This is quite a nice place.
It's my local.
I only come to The Miners when my bf can come too. I'd come here a lot more often if it wasn't for the creepy Irish barman leering at any woman between 15 & 50.

Does anyone remember Moria and family that ran the Miners in the late seventies / early eighties? Moira is one of my grandparents and any memories would be interesting

Here at the MINERS ARMS we pride ourselves on being friendly and courteous to all our visitors. The MINERS is a public house for all age groups and also for families. We have a large garden and children's play area. All are welcome to come and enjoy a drink and snacks from the bar in a safe environment.

For those patrons wishing to have a quiet drink and just chill out then there is our main bar area where you can sit and watch the world go by. We have a specially designed pool playing area and can also offer jukebox music and large screen T.V. for all the major sporting events.

The MINERS ARMS Underwent major refurbishment Feb 2002 and now presents itself bright, clean, well laid out and with a great lively atmosphere. There is a great programme of events planned to be held weekly which consist of the following:

Wednesday - Bike night
Thursday - Singles night
Friday - Entertainment
