About time we had a decent trouble free Pub in Stockport.I went in this Pub for the 1st time in a few years just before xmas having not been in for about a year.It has totally changed.Great for watching footy and a good atmosphere.Recommended!!

I went to this pub on Sat (7th Feb) and the new Landlord and Landlady has turned this Pub into a warm welcoming establishment. The pub has been re-furbished to a high standard and offers lots of entertainment, Band nights, Comedy nights and Karaoke nights. The staff make you feel very welcome. We had a really good night. If you are looking for a really good night out then I can recommend this Pub.

This pub has been recently refurbished and has a new landlord-it looks great and I recommend that you try the food!!
They are running a great comedy night on a Thursday which is worth a visit �3.00 in with food to try and great beers on offer!!
They have also started hiring out the pub, went to an event there the other week - a fantastic venue!!
More of a day pub but they have all sports channels so you won't miss match!!

I went into this Pub with my mother.I remember the old White Lion but the new owner has transformed the place.We had a 2 course homecooked meal.The food was very good but what I liked about the place was the friendliness of the staff.The service was more akin to a restaurant and the staff were all unusually polite for a Pub.We stayed in for the afternoon and had a really nice time.I can definately highly recommend this Pub!

Had a great night on the 31st Jan 09.A Band called The Void were gigging and they were superb.The Pub was reasonably full and the atmosphere was great.No trouble and a really good real ale,Jekylls Gold.Looking forward to the next Gig.

The comments posted are now out of date.The Pub has been refurbished and reopened by a new Licensee.The Pub is bright and welcoming.It serves really good homemade food and has 3 plasma screens showing Sky and Setanta Sports.It also has a Comedy night on a Thursday with an open mike format followed by a headliner.It also has live music every Saturday night.

When it's full on a Saturday night, all exits should be bolted shut and a few grenades should be thrown in.

Agree with the last point but add that the drinks with the exception of lager are quite expensive at the evening.

its ok on thursday nites, saturday n sunday nites but quite during the week! n full ov coffin dodger! lol xx

Its A great pub to go to, and every 1 has a laugh there. the dj is cool and the women r hot. obvioulsy its only busy on a friday and saturday but it is a top laugh
