Had occasion to attend a wake here earlier this week. At least 5 million people rammed into what is quite a small hostelry. They did us proud, very proud indeed. Because I was in charge of the car keys I only had a half of IPA and as IPA goes it was . . . well, a half of IPA.
The buffet laid on by the pub was very well presented indeed. Do you know what ? We were even treated to Spam fritters ! Spam fritters just like the spam fritters served up at school all those years ago. Delicious. That taste took me back. It is doubtful that I will ever return to The Seaview and even if I do I bet they won't be serving Spam fitters. Spam fritters in the evening dot com, now there's an idea . . .

I desperatly wanted to hate this place because on the face of it, it is everything I dislike in a pub. Formica bar, over hot, lots of kids and the smell of school dinners, but if you get out of the heat and avoid the dog turd in the garden, it's not too bad. They serve a very nice pint of Arundel Castle with London Pride and Greene King IPA are on offer too, the food's not bad at all and is cheap and the staff are friendly.

went over here a few months ago, the owner seemed rude and to act very odd with people. didn't look busy, this place used to be great years ago ,seems a bit dead now.

It is not busy down there at all, the last 4 times I have been there on a Saturday and Sunday it has only had a couple of locals propped up at the bar.

Sundays used to be really good there...not anymore.

It will get busy again in the Summer Im sure

I am local to this pub, the beer garden in the Summer is the only thing it has to offer.
Everyone knows about the miserable old tosser who owns it, which is why they have lost a lot of old regular customers.

I have seen the cook scratch is bottom whilst serving out food, I really wouldnt eat there. To add to this, there are the owners kids running riot all over the pub, so you cannot enjoy a nice pint.

Worth going to in the Summer though on a hot day

My (elderly) mother visited and asked about food serving times. The cook was exceptionally rude to her and my Mother left, very upset. The Tudor Tavern along teh road is much more welcoming.

I have visited this pub and stayed at the hotel a number of times and only have fond memories of the place. The bar has friendly staff, serves great food, and benefits from a large, well-maintained beer garded, which is lovely in the summer. The hotel is very clean and great value for money. The location too is fantastic, being literally a stone's throw from the beach. I recommend this pub/hotel for anyone visiting the area.

Great local pub for the younger people of East Preston. Brilliant in the summer, with an amazing garden. Shame about the miserable northern sod who runs the place.
