please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

It's now more than closed. I doubt it'll be a pub again.

It's now student accomodation.

Loved this place before its refurb a few years ago..the food was incredibly cheap and the atmosphere bounced...Bye-Bye to both...sad.

Good for a few frames of pool and some afternoon pints

Feels like a studenty chain pub, still good atmosphere and good for watching football.

Agree about the barmaids.....v nice !
Beer ok, but the place shouldn't have been done up, it's lost all it's charm and turned into a soulless chain type boozer.

No longer anything like the description given by Paul in Jan 2004.

Lots of shiny new surfaces and bright decor - some will love it, some might prefer the old days when it was a scruffy flea bitten dumpwhere I did once get into a fight with a crazy local!!

I used to work in this pub before the refurb and it was a grotty dive with which most staff and customers had a love hate relationship! Lost all character since the refurb but I hope they have done something about the accommodation! The accommodation was busy and did manage to get some action there!

Probably my favorite pub in Nottingham although its been a while since i was there. couple of pool tables, good juke box, friendly staff and cheap food and drink promotions. doesn't tend to get all that busy, but if you want somewhere to take it easy with a few friends, this is the place. and unlike the Gooseberry Bush, you probably won't get into a fight with some crazy local!
