Definitely somewhere I will NEVER go back to. The security were a joke, more interested in girls than sorting out the scuffles that I was aware of, Very unprofessional and unsafe. The drinks were also a joke, Nothing but cider, lager and funny coloured jugs mostly filled with Ice. The sound system sounded dreadful, badly set up, and compressed - In other words they sounded like they had no confidence in DJ's to set up correctly and had automatic systems in place, The DJ could not mix to save his life, It sounded like he was playing by numbers! Overall it gave me the impression that it was set up on a purely commercial basis, with customer satisfaction coming a very late second place.

Expensive shot - chunder pit, if you like your music louder than gatwick runway, so loud your ears ring for days after, if you like being shoulder barged and cattle herded trying to get to the bar and then inconsiderately ignored when you turn to walk away with a round by the rest of the cattle, this place is for you.
If you're going to go, go on a Sunday, actually very nice without the people who make this place avoidable. Or go in the afternoon when the food is pretty good. Avoid on Fri/Sat nights.

just wanted to update my last review...this is by far one of the best bars in Cheltenham. The food menu has been redone, and is very very good. Vodka Revs is a perfect place for a date in the afternoon, or an even better party hangout in the evening. They offer a loyalty card (not sure how much, probably around a fiver) which allows you to get special dedals throughout the year. I dont think anyone would be disappointed with this funky and contemporary bar. Prices can be a bit put off, but the lack of chavs, fighting and the great music definately makes up for it. A pint is around 3, with cocktails from about 3.50-5...but taste sooo good! Try it if you are ever in Cheltenham.

I would find it hard, for the majority, to find a bar that beats Revolution! The music is outsatnding and varied, with DJ's 6 nights a week!!! The food isn't Michelin* but for value for money and speed of service there really isn't much better!!! The venue is spectacular and bar service meets the equivalent!!! All around THE BEST BAR IN CHELTENHAM!

Still has the features of the old chapel it used to be. I agree though with likemybeer, food is not great, but atmosphere almost compensates. Excellent range of vodka based drinks, i recommend the crushkas or the mudslide! yummmmm...

Great venue, music was simply the best in the town playing funky house on weekends but not like other bars,
drinks are presented well and most definatly the best place to go and to be seen in, no chave allowed, the dress code is very strict onn the weekend as well, good job guys!!! wil be back there!!

It is now a Revolution vodka bar. Weird, child-sized furniture in cavernous space. Poor value unless you get lots of shots at once. I have enjoyed Revolution bars in other cities, I didn't like this one.

Nice building. But dirty, crap food and you got a better picture on TV's in the 1940's

This pub was better when it was a Firkin pub. I love the fact that it's a chapel though.

Yes...it was a church and a place where homeless people could get a cup of tea and a simple meal....The pub is very large and it serves the standard drinks which I feel is dull...lets have some real ales in our town pubs!.

As said before, used to a church so theres a very sacreligeous feel about going there. Nice and bigger than the other pubs around (expect toad) so easy to get a seat. Regular student haunt due to the scream discount but better for the younger generations. Its known by us as the pull-pit.

fantastic building (used to be a church) sadly wasted on cheap and nasty scream chain pub. food is horrible. was much better when it was a firkin!

It's a pub inside a church... basically!
