If you do come off the M1 at j24 to go to this pub for lunch, then you're better rejoining at j25 by far.

Lovely homely food pub; friendly team, clean but not over-smart, with an above-average pub food menu and Greene King beers. A good stop off the M1/A50.

A friendly local pub. The staff are cheery and helpful. The beer is good and the food is good value for money.

Excellent local pub with good food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Lovely beer garden for the summer and cosy real fires for winter evenings. And the beer prices haven't gone up with the VAT increase... brilliant!!

Used to be nice. Not as good now.

Been here a couple of times while travelling up the A1. So much better than stopping in some overpriced service station! From memory there were about 4 cask beers on offer, with the staff being helpful, and giving samples. It's a foody pub and the meals are on the expensive side, but restaurant quality. Lovely place to while away a couple of hours.

Fantastic Pub! What better place to while away a summer evening than their exstensive beer garden. As for beer - excellent pint everytime and cheaper than the local hostelries for real ale. Annual beer festival every August Bank Holiday is one of the largest in the area and was fantastic last year.
Heard on the grapevine that this pub has been voted Erewash Valley CAMRA "Pub Of The Season" for Summer 2005. Well earned award. My favourite pub.

Fantastic adult only pub with consistently good beer quality and excellent fresh food. Now summer is here the beer gardfen and heated patio is a great place to relax.

Good food and a nice traditional pub atmosphere. Beer garden is well presented and pleasant in the summer despite its proximity to a busy road. The beer is a little expensive but its far better than the local alternatives so fair enough!

The Harrington is a great cosy pub - not like all the brightly lit chain pubs. Really cosy and very excellent food. Home cooked and not like chain pub food.

The Harrington has a great atmosphere - very cosy, log fire and plenty of excellent food. Hosts a beer festival most August Bank Holidays - main beers are Hardy Hansons. Great wine list, no children allowed and a very very warm welcome by Neil and his staff. No quizzes, no loud music - definately a pub for the grown-ups or for a secret tryst!!!
