Avoid at all costs. A very unpleasant experience: malorourous, reminiscent of a geriatric home; choice of sandwiches extremely poor, ham and tomato on brown at 4.25 (25p extra for plastic sliced bread, with no accompanying salad or crisps) was utterly tastless requiring salt and mustard to be palatable , presentation was non existent; slimline tonic was flat and remarkably sweet - I was unable to finish the orange juice & tonic; Children's play area in need of serious weedkilling. All in all the place felt as if if is stuck in a 1980s timezone.

Whatever you do dont ask for diet lemonade! A lady did and she and her whole family were barred! Utterly moronic!!

We booked a party of 23 for Sunday lunch (birthday). The landlord went to special trouble to rearrange the seating to allow us to all sit in the same area. He and his staff were very welcoming. The food was very good and the table service efficient. The prices were very competitive. Bar area and toilets clean. Good outside childrens play area. We would recommend this pub.

I visited this pub with a friend on Saturday as it was half way between us. We walked in to a most curt welcome when the person who appeared to be running the place stated " we are closed ladies" to which my friend replied "its8.30 on a Saturday evening and you are closed despite the sign the door saying you are open"the reply was a simple "yes" no explanation or offer of apology. We left and have to say will never be offering this establishment our custom ever again!

Sunday lunch was very disappointing and the inside eating area felt a little cramped.

The outside is great though, so probably a good place to spend an afternoon.

We arrive very muddy - and were still made very welcome. The food was very good and timely. The pub was clean and light. We shall return!
