Average at best. Nice garden, decor OK but dining room distinctly empty, we had a table booked so had dinner - now realise why empty dining room. Would go in for a relaxing drink in the week maybe but not much more

Made the mistake of venturing in here for the first of England's world cup games. Although busy there was a lacking atmosphere and the staff just didnt seem interested...... Plenty on offer but not offered well!!
Pride was ok but far better on offer els where!!!

Gorgeous pub.... shame about the lack of food! We went here on a Sunday hoping to have some lunch, only to be told all they could serve us was nuts or olives! They weren't even busy, and have a large area at the back specifically for dining.....why have a dedicated area and no food?! Great outdoor area for summer, they just need to sort out the food situation.

We've been to this place a few times, and it's quite good - one that won't scare the ladies off too much at least. And can still get a decent pint there too.

Theres not really much that I can add to the previous comments and I think that their statement that ceedoubleu has drawn attention too just about sums this place up.

I will just mention that the barmaid that served me was very nice and that London Pride and Jennings Lakeland Ale were available alongside some premium lagers.

Although this place is pleasant enough its not really my cup of tea, but if you like gastro youll like this place.

Visited this place yesterday - it's still a pub, but with a restaurant area at the back. I suppose it's pleasant enough if you like that sort of thing (wooden floorboards, large squashy sofas, low tables, candles), but I prefer some more spit and sawdust. They were selling London Pride and Deuchars IPA, so decent beers are available.

My mistake. It is "Ruby Grand" and is "designed to bring a touch of elegance to the heart of Hammersmith. Featuring a morning room, relaxing lounge bar and conservatory restaurant, there is a space for every season and every need."

Their words, not mine

Now refurbished and renamed as "Grande Ruby" or somesuch. I didn't go in but it looks more like a restaurant.

Strange bar - barman once tried chatting up my girlfriend when I was stood there, weird russian bird was offering massages and some pikie mallethead had a piss in the corner of the garden when it was easier to go to the khazis

Didn't like this place at all. Not really a pub.

Does Kronembourg Blanc. Strange place, very chilled, big leathery sofas, quite modern, with dj on Friday night playing instrumental rap tunes and other funky stuff. Surprised to read that it used to be chavvy so this refurb seems a good idea. Except it was empty. Empty. 10pm on a Friday evening, and hardly anyone was there. Dunno how these places make a living.

Usual leather couches and modern decor in a bar with only one real ale, Ruddles County - an odd choice and all the odder that it costs 3.10 a pint which I think is the most I have ever actually paid for a proper imperial pint of wallop. Cheeseburger and chips (or were they fries) quite palatable but I sat lamenting the old Hammersmith which had proper pubs in it.

Me and my friends had a christmas meal here, pretty decent grub considiring, with fiendish puzzles in the crackers, mad me look like a retard for quite some time. Nice selection of Muggles Ale, clean and contemporary, cleantemporary.

This pub has just been taken over and refurbished and is all the better for it. No more dark corners, no more pool table, no more crap juke box. Chilled out sounds, new youthful djs on Friday & Saturday nights, great new menu and lovely, helpful & knowledgable staff (sexy Aussie bloke & German chick). The less desirable element (chavvy pool player types etc) seem to have disappeared and been replaced with a nice mixed crowd (after work drinkers, couples, after thatre groups). Would definately recomend you try this pub if you have been there before and found it wasn't quite what you were looking for as it has really changed.

used to spend a lot of time in here. lovely staff but odd paedo kind of dj (used to spend a lot of time in the far east...)

great for a pint or two in summer but sad to hear its being made into yet another allalike bar one

This place has just been taken over by a more trendy owner. The previous old Irish dragon, ran the place for her own amusment. The bar staff were hilarious, three or four girls who just used to play pool and chat with customers. Could well change though, the last time i spoke to them they were thinking of making it over 21's.

huge garden with lovely wooden tables & parasols for the ladies, big screen with sports for the boys - and the most friendly barstaff in W6. the only weak point is - there's not enough of them!!

Full of Chavs, what is the point of refurbishing a pub only to have the same rowdy element in it that was there prior to refurbishment??!

Go to Tommy Flynns down the road

A good haunt for Guinness drinkers

love the cat curled up on a barstool ignoring everyone. nothing bad to say about this place - all good. worth a visit
millym - 25 Jul 2003 21:48
good pub; loads of staff so you never have to wait to get served; and one of the most chilled out cats on the planet!
Emma - 23 Jul 2002 14:01
Sky sports on big screen, pool table, garden bar, disco Fri & Sat nights, pokie machines
