Decent pub selling 3 ales of one is what I would call 'interesting', very much a locals pub with quiz nights and serving food, decor is quite nice. Proper pub with low beams, therefore which makes the local in the fluorescent jacket swearing like 'how's your father' at the bar seem a bit incongruous.

Always a warm welcome in this pub. And always good beers including some guest ales. On my visit there was Otter - Bitter which was nice.

Friendly enough locals' pub, beer was well kept - Shepherd Neame Master Brew was on when I was there - not the world's most interesting beer, but unusual for the area. The licensee seems to be making an effort. Definitely an above-average pub.

Went there for the advertised festival today - doesn't start until 1900 although no mention of that on their web site. Looking at the beer list though -- didn't miss much.

An ex Courage pub, now extended with a large garden. 4 beers on - Doombar (as always), Courage Best, Cornish Coaster and London Glory. 3.20 a pint - quality pretty indifferent. Would not race back.

What a great pub, we normally avoid Tilehurst pubs, but I found this by accident trying to find a shortcut home, this one is a little gem, good quality, honest pub food that puts some 'gastro pubs' we have visted to shame!
Nice and friendly enviroment and a big garden for the kids. A PROPER local.
We will definatley be using this one more frequently

Clean and friendly, there's two ales (usually Wadworth 6X and Courage Best) on offer at a reasonable price.

There's a nice airy conservatory out the back, with a decent selection of pub games on offer plus TV and music. Food available too I believe.

The only decent pub in Tilehurst. Worth a visit if you are in the area or have a Reading Buses Busabout ticket (take the 17 and it's a short walk from the terminus).

proper boozer and probably best pub in Tilehurst. Real ale always good.

The one thing that put me off in the past was the smoke as the ceiling was very low .....but now its lovely and fresh (for a pub!)

great pub, nice food and drink but needs some decks and a loud sound system to get a rave started. any jugalists near by?

I have just moved down here from the Yorkshire Dales, my main aim once settled was to find a good local, WOW! I should've come here years ago. Well worth a visit!

Small and friendly locals pub, with a great beer garden. Darts, Crib, and the best Petanque Pitch in the South East.
