My local for the last year and a nice pub to have round the corner. Doom Bar is always excellent, they also have Flowers and a guest. The place is nicely decorated, very friendly and very comfortable. Between my wife and I we've eaten in here about 8 times now and always really enoyed the food. The only downside is the recent removal of Aspalls as the draught cider in favour of Strongbow (why, of why???). This in itself loses the pub a mark as I really enjoyed ther Aspalls in the summer.

Didn't try the food but it had a nice atmosphere. It was busy but got served quick enough, reasonable selection of ales too.

Went in there recently with some friends and it was first time at the Oak. On a warm evening, the interior was cool and the Young's in prime condition. The bar staff were attentive and friendly and the clientele also. I was impressed and will be back.

went in there just a while ago, and they didnt do coffee, so some customers just popped next door to the bakery and had a carry out. I think the excuse was the kettle didnt work. Prefered it before when there was a seperate public bar.

Don't eat here. My missus had the steak and has only just started passing solids. I had the burger and was unimpressed. Friendly staff and nice looking pub though.

Has been recently facelifted - very impressive interior with settees. Good range of 3 cask ales and very good atmosphere. Not overly expensive, and although a local, very welcoming. Hard to fault - I like this place and will be back.

Good range of real ales. Quite a nice pub.

Pub doesn't seem to have a car park.

It's nice enough with a lot of space inside; a bit of a locals pub but given the location that's to be expected. Probably don't get through the ales very quickly as the Young's I was served had turned into vinegar; got it changed for a pleasant Spitfire though.

Very nice place on the way down into Bromley, ideal for a civil pint, and very nice proprietors, who let me in without a ticket on Xmas eve to see frends after just arriving back in the country! Is reasonably priced and a civil atmosphere. Highly recommend it, and the food menu looks nice too. And, as mentioned, the legendary Papadom is round the corner!

Great place with friendly bar staff and good atmosphere. They do a very nice pint of cold guinness however for reasons which escape me, it's always poured to overflowing then the outside of the glass is rinsed and handed over.
Guys its not that hard: Pour down the side of the glass to nearly 3/4 full and leave to settle for a couple of minutes. No rush. Lift the glass up to the tap and top up, stopping when the glass is full. Hand to customer. Job done.

Minor guinnessy gripes aside, its a great pub though and the gaffer's a good bloke.
Crucially, the Oak is conveniently located for the Papadom round the corner for a swift lamb korhai on the way home.

The Oak is a lovely pub. A real locals pub, safe, clean, good beers and a very helpful guv'nor. It's a good place to watch the football and sensibly the tele is away from the main bar area for those not all that interested (how could anyone not be interested in football!!). They also showcase a lot of cool art in the dining area and have a nice beer garden for the summer months. Great little pub, highly recommended.

Good pub spoiled by a terrible layout and several tins of salmon coloured paint. Food and chef both looked tasty, but moody foreign girl behind the bar let the side down. Music was at acceptable volume for my taste. Locals a little cliquey and loud, but hey, it's a local pub for local people. Manager was very hands-on and was attending to the locals' needs and making sure everything was alright.

pleasant local, mainly regulars.Fortunately not a young persons pub. Good food, friendly staff and landlord. Negative point-unnecessary LOUD music for a 'village' local.

The Oak is a blinding little local. Recently refurbished, but just as good, although on first look, you may have thought it had gone all poncy. Not the case, mind. Good beer, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Mainly couples and regulars, but well worth a quick pint if youre in the area. And the guvnors a Millwall fan. Enough said! Enjoy.
