The Landlord and Landlady are a lovely couple. I have visited this pub many times whilst growing up locally. There is a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere in this pub. The food is quite basic compared to surrounding pubs but it is not expensive and goes down well after a long walk.

Popped in for a quick pint after cycling.

Was meet by a friendly landlord and served a rather excellent pint,

Maybe hit the pub on a very quiet night and the landlady was away, so limited food. Bearing this in mind, a pub that really does provide variety in an area where "gastropubs" do rather dominate (fine but not for every night). Food traditional English and a bit undistinguished. The Brakspear Bitter was exemplary and the people serving us were both helpful and friendly.

I'm guessing that there isn't a Carribbean Steel Drum Band playing here every night but there was when we stopped here, and an excellent night was had by all!!

Super pub worth the drive to get there if your not local. I am biased as I know the landlord but the beer is always good and your well looked after.

Fantastic pub. This pub is totally traditional unlike most of the gastro pubs around Henley. What does this mean?: Superb beer, fantastic food, great atmosphere, great hosts, Family friendly, Highly recommended!

Comfortable, friendly pub. One real ale: Brakspear Bitter. Vegetarian food available.

I visited the Rainbow on a Sunday with a group of friends and two dogs. Staff were very welcoming and the resonably priced food and drink were good, especially the roast beef. Just what we needed after tramping 5 miles around Oxfordshire. We were very glad to see several choices for vegetarians.

Good choice of unpretentious but tasty food cooked by landlady in pretty and cottagey country local with unspoilt low-beamed divided bar, welcoming landlord, the usual well kept Brakspears; tables on front lawn, peaceful setting (although has been known to flood in winter!). Great for a swift half during a cycle. Busy whilst the regatta is on.
