Went to this pub over the christmas period with family. Was nice enough. Was the middle of the day though so I can't comment too much on the regulars, as a few previous reviews on here have. Beer was decent, friendly bar staff, nothing special but alright.

went there with my family on Monday, the place was absolutley filthy. They had run out of most drinks so little choice. We had dinner in there the first one I had to send back as it was disgusting, the second one was better, however I have been off work all week with an upset stomach and lost almost a stone in weight as a result, although I dont know for sure I have been poisoned fron the food or the dirt everywhere I am extremely suspicious.

If the parts we can see are so dirty you can imagine the the areas we cant see!!

Harvester have ruined a pub that must have stood there for several hundred years, sucking all atmosphere out with its bland interior. The clientle are rough and unpleasant looking, giving it quite a menacing atmosphere.

As for the half that it the restaurant, you either like Harvester food or you don't. Personally I found it revolting and if you like it, there is not much hope for you. If you have never been to one before, be warned that there are no vegetables of any sort on the menu. The small mercy is that there are none for the kitchen staff to ruin. There is plenty of fried chicken, fried chicken and of course, fried chicken. The salad bar is inevitably bland with poor sauces.

Avoid.

I go here pretty much every Thursday lunchtime with my class from college (theres 8 of us) as food is better here than at Merton college canteen. Not bad food, pretty good service, altho the ale range is very limited its like Old speckled Hen or John Smiths or larger. I usually take the larger as the ale isn't kept very well!

Nice pub on the outside, inside its a Harvester, so you get what you expect, very bland, busy for food but nothing special. Safe place to take your parents.

TERRIBLE, tiny bar, no seats, dirty decor and as for the clientle... if this place was raided on a sunday afternoon crime in south london would drop by at least 10%

Yet again another rubbish pub, over priced, trying to be a family restaurant but it dont work, unless your kids have a skinhead, like thier mothers full of old trollops who think they look nice in the market clothes that are far too tight for them.

I have been to this resturant severall times, and on all ocasions I have enjoyed my meal.
The staff are always friendly, the food is noot always as quik as I would like but hey its never cold. I find that this resturant has a good range of meals and at resonable prices.

Overall I enjoy eating here because of the friendly atmosphere and nice food.

The George has recently been refurbished and is now very beautiful inside and out, the staff have always been friendly when I have visited and food good although service is more attentive in the restaurant than beer garden or patio. Very child friendly with free entertainment during summer holidays. The manager, a South African called Louis is a real character and always takes time to talk to guests especially regulars.

Food good, service slow but was busy. Clientele seem to be out of or want to be extras in Gangster No. 1. To blend in have a skinhead, beer belly, stare at people and swear a lot in front of children.

i have been to this Harvester on several occasions, and usually the food is brilliant, the staff very friendly and service is fast. On one or two occasions has the food been slow to arrive, but when it does we have always had an apology etc. Scale 1- 10, 7
