As a pub, dreadful. It scores below average on almost every criterion. Most importantly, a truly awful choice of drinks (i.e. no choice) and all at truly ludicrous prices.

The only reason you should come here is for the live music downstairs. Although the layout of the room isn't ideal it's good for an intimate gig and having seen 10+ bands there, the sound quality is very good generally.

Therefore, drink beforehand in the Museum Tavern round the corner, then come here for the live music and to sober up.

To add a few more points regarding pricing...

A pint of Grolsch wheat beer shall set you bet an extraordinary 4.10! a regular guinness is 3.30.

Ok live music venue, but is a bit expensive all round. But what do you expect this is London after all

My boyfriend had his 40th there (I can't believe I have a 40 year old boyfriend...). Anyway, the staff were absolutely magnificent. I cannot praise them highly enough. Consequently we had a fantastic party as we had hired out downstairs (very reasonable rates as well - free if you spend a certain amount over the bar - I think it was 1,000). I probably wouldn't go there for a drink as it's very quiet but will definitely hire again as a venue for a party.

I went to the Daily for a private party last week and it has a really nice downstairs bit that you can hire out - squishy sofas etc. It's quite cool and relaxed in there (almost European!) albeit a bit empty.

Not there anymore - is now called The Daily - which still serves very expensive pints of Leffe and is not very busy. They did last orders at 1000 when we were there on a Wednesday night before kicking us out at 1045!
