My friend and I walked past the White Lion last night (Tues) only to find it closed early.

It appears that this hostelry may be in the process of changing hands, although it will remain as far as I know a McMullens house.

More information please on any future changes.

Started drinking here once the happy pig closed in waltham cross, great pub, very friendly. Come here quite often when i can. A very good chill out sunday pub!

A little gem this pub!

Number 3 on our friday night crawl, this was about the most welcoming pub we'd been in so far. Immediate conversation was struck up with some of the locals, including quite a bit of "harmless fun" at my mate's expense! All added to the experience I'd say. AK is kept here in top condition, and is the only beer on. Live semi-karaoke, using a real guitar backed up by MiniDisc, had us all singing along.
The White Lion is very much a locals' local, but compared to one place we'd been in, we were treated like VIPs! 10/10!

A one-roomed pub with locals who are friendly enough - good for daydreaming too as the main pedestrianised street is on view. Family run and they take pride in the Ale. Fairly priced with a beer garden and telly - next to supermarket so good for getting supplies, as the staff will look out for your pint!

A single-bar McMullen's pub, very much a locals' local, but nevertheless I found it friendly and welcoming on my visit during which Chelsea beat Prague 1-0 as seen on the tv in the pub. McMullen's AK, the only beer, was in excellent condition. No food. Dartboard. Occasional live music. Upholstered bench seating on the perimeter. One of three good Mac's pubs in Waltham Abbey Village, and worth a visit, even if only as part of a "crawl"
