A Greene King pub, now back to its previous name after a period when it was called the Peterborough. Located in good location overlooking Eel Brook Common, it has an attractive frontage with full height bay windows each side of the main entrance. Inside, the high ceilings (and aforementioned large windows) mean that it has a light and airy feel. However, given the exterior symmetry, it comes as a slight surprise to find the bar to one side rather than being directly in front of you when entering. The need (or choice?) of a spiral staircase up to the function room or down to the toilets is also a bit curious. There is the usual mix of modern furniture you tend to get following refurbishments, plus a small amount of outdoor seating at the front. Beer-wise, there were just two handpumps offering Abbot and IPA (but the latter was well kept and reasonably-priced for the area at 2.90). Some of the customers were a bit loud, but the staff were friendly and efficient.

NIce pub in Fulham... friendly mix of local men and mix gender headed to Chelsea game... will definitely go back on game nights and when in the area otherwise. Staff was nice too.

Only been here recently after midweek Chelsea games and it seems decent enough and certainly better than when it was the SW6 hangout for the rougher end of the Kiwi population ( a role since assumed by the Slug and Lettuce on the Broadway).

Ok for a swift couple after the match

Shows all the football and rugby games and you can book the room upstairs. Overlooks Eel Brook Common and is easy to get to.

Decent food and nice and bright and airy.

utterly unpretentious pub for the area with mix of folk who like to kick back and relax.
Excellent staff, decent food and tastefully refurbed Victorian boozer with pleasing edge.
Live footy nights and Chelsea home games are busy but do not alter the basic decency of this one. Worth a go.

New managers (Jenni & Al) are making changes at this pub. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and a new food menu that is worth trying. Large screen TV, but didn't see any evidence of live music. Good place to meet and talk, drink and/or eat (and a good Function Room upstairs).
