Friendly local that paled a little bit into insignificance on this trip as its fellow North Brink pub the Rose Tavern was running a beer festival. Great ales nonetheless and another good drinking landmark in a town which I appreciate more and more for its unspoilt nature with every visit.

Excellent pub on the North Brink in Wisbech.

Had Elgoods Cambridge Bitter plus 'Paw x 4 100m' - the latter although an appalling pun was a great pint, light and hoppy and very easy to drink. As the name suggests, Olympics related so drink it while you can.

Landlady and team were very friendly and chatty to us on what was our first visit to the pub. Food was reasonably priced and presentable. Would definitely return when in Wisbech - it is worth making the short walk across the river from the town centre to the more attractive part of Wisbech to support this pub.

Beer garden area out the back too for summer drinking.

The Red Lion is my pub of choice in Wisbech, there are usually four Real Ales on(what I really like!!!!)The food is very good and the staff are fantastic. It is currently being extended,so bucking the trend of pub closures.

Best Elgoods pub in the town and just down the road from the brewery. Food orientated pub, but nevertheless probably the only place you will find Black Dog Mild in the town, plus of course the more readily available 'Cambridge' bitter and at least one of the stronger Elgoods beers.
