Well kept and well presented ale with friendly pub bonhomie This pub is now possibly fully recovered from the loss of a long term landlord who is hard to follow. Dopped in because of a queue in the barbers and stayed for almost a skin-full. If you like beer and pubs then the Nags Head does the trick.

Went in there today. Two beers, London Pride & Courage Best.
Had all the atmosphere of an aircraft hanger.
Come back Dot - all is forgiven.

Freehold sold April 2012, so now a free house. New licencie working very hard to clean and improve the fabric of the pub. No kitchen untill they replace it.
After all the (deserved) negative comments over the last few years, now worth a visit - was standing room only over Easter!

Unfortunately a friend's first visit to this pub was for an enquiry on job opening....did not get inside the door but was told to 'f off'
Sorry but if the staff/landlord are that rude this is not a pub I would want to visit

Windows are full of "events" no one in their right mind would want ("Neil Diamond Tribute Night" anyone?). What has happend to the place!

Was closed again, seems to be sort of open now. Had an almost undrinkable pint of Doombar recently. Management seem to have no idea, and I assume it will close again soon. Shame, it was once a good pub.

The Brewery suddenly pulled the plug a while back and shut the place down overnight. It's now re-opened with a new guv'nor but the place seems bare and empty.

Awful place. Maybe ok for locals only, certainly don't feel comfortable here with the missus.

First rate pub, good beer (altho' I agree the selection is fairly standard stuff), thriving darts team and definitely a racing pub with its own racehorse owning syndicate. Closed Sunday afternoons/early evenings.

Good community pub, TV tends to show horse-racing, popular with local race-goers. Beer well-kept but unfortunately a really boring selection (Courage best, Pedigree, Gales HSB). Friendly staff. I like the place, just wish the beer was more interesting.
