Yes the beer list isn't huge these days, but there's enough decent choices to keep you going. Our mussels ans frites on Saturday were excellent as was the beer and service. If you think of this place as a decent restaurant the prices aren't that bad at all. Will go back.

As previously commented upon - Belgo's are in danger of being sued for misprepresentation The beer menu here is hardly extensive and prices verge on the criminal but i suppose this is Islington... I'd like to know how they justify charging the equivalent of 6+ per pint for fruit infused beers that are only 3% alcohol? On plus side the "Frites" are excellent. Just not worth making a special trip for - especially when Arsenal fans tip out of on match days days and getting served becomes impossible. Mediocre at best.

Terrible service and an impressively reduced list of beers (especially considering the beers that are on the list but not available) from the glory days. Belgian beers are a lot easier to find these days, so why bother?

The service in this place is atrocious. Stupidly designed bar area and a couple of clowns standing behind it. Having said that, the French barmaid/clown is an absolute honey.

OldRogue - the Bierodromes are owned by Belgo, I believe. But I agree with the comments. Not many Belgian beers on draught but a better bottled range. Also quite empty when I went in earlier this year.

Range of beers does seem to be on the wane - on my first visit the menu filled a whole side of A3! Nevermind tho it's still a good one, sticks of schnapps always deadly and still plenty of interesting beer. Closing time seems to vary a bit but usually open til around 1am on my last few visits.

Don't forget Belgos were serving Belgian beer since the early 90's up in their Camden restaurant, long before it became trendy everywhere, and it remains head and shoulders above most of its imitators.

I've had a handful of good nights in here, and despite the fact it can get busy, for an Upper St bar, it does pretty well in my book.

lovely place for a relaxing afternoon lounge, but thats where the compliments cease, took ages to get served even though the place was empty> For Belgium beer fans note - the list is rather depleted than previously, so now little choice and rather expensive. More misses that hits this time sadly.

Had a lovely meal here - great moules and burger. Not the finest selection of Belgian beers but enough for an authentic experience! I would recommend.

I love this place, the food is amazing and so cheap. The beers are expensive but you only need 2 or 3. A nice place to go for somthing a bit different.

I had my birthday party in here last Thursday (16th) September and had a fab time - the staff are really nice and the shooters are lethal

Great food accompanied by a wonderful range of beers-a bit pricey though so not really the place for a long drinking session.

had a beautifully cooked steak there, and the choice of beers is great... how i love dark/trappist beers. :)

unrivalled choice of beers, but hold onto your bar stool when you get your change (or lack of it)

Continental style bar with restaurant. Food is pretty expensive so i recommend you eat elsewhere but definitely sample their superb range of European lagers. kind of a yupee or yupee wannabe hang out
