The 'Turtle' bar/restaurant has been renamed & reopened as the "Lofty Turtle" a New York style loft-bar apparently!
Sounds interesting (...but probably pricey...!) :o) TJ

If you liked the clientele in the Plough (pre 2008) you'll like it here- although it lacks the olde worldy charm and the passing drinkers that the plough attracted. At first it felt like the Naked turtle was a picket line for the Plough with ex Plough Kronies protesting aginst people attending the Plough once under new ownership.
Always lively on a Friday evening

What a great bar.
Discovered it completely by accident. the drinks list is brilliant.
no nasty mass produced beers here but a load of unusual ales from around the world. the beer choice is great from sierra Nevada and Stiegl on draught to a great bottle selection.
Highly recommend the fillet club sandwich with a bottle of Brooklyn brown ale.
For those who are sick of big chain pubs with no choice this is your place to go..

Lively Bar with a great restaurant ad bar snacks and the added bonus of singing waitresses and pianist. Classy fun.

Thought it was time for my annual visit to the Turtle, so popped in for a beer or two. The usual pilsner on tap was out of service, but the Morelli beer went down well instead. The bar service is always pretty good, but they only have about 12ft of bar to serve, so it should be! A pleasant brunette girl was serving. Most clientele here are "okay" yaah! But don't let that deter you from a good meal, or a pleasant drink. (Mind you, the bloke next to me at the bar stank of fish..! He could have had a wash before coming out for the evening!) staff, have a word with him...please!! TJ

A friend of mine frequented the Turtle regularly. He had a 'tab' system going at the bar, which he paid in advance, only a few quid at a time. He liked the barmaid (was her name Donna, or something like that, she had lovely long red hair!!). Anyhows, for whatever reasons he had to leave the area for quite a long time. When he returned however, months & months later to the Naked Turtle for a drink, the staff remembered him and put his 6 on his table, which he'd forgotten all about! HOW OFTEN WOULD THAT HAPPEN IN A LONDON BAR..??!! I'm flabber-gasted! Well done staff at NT. Are the staff in your local that good..?? TJ

No-one has commented on the Naked Turtle for over a year..!! Is that a bad sign..?!
I have had a meal here, with family, and it was fine. I like the idea of live music (in any shape or form..!) you can't expect Madonna, or Elton John in a small business in a small town!! I'll take the singing waitress every time! She was enthusiastic!

I've been back for the occasional drink at the bar, the staff are always polite/friendly (lets face it, thats rare in most places..!) but the bar area is a bit too small, so you might not get a seat! I do like their Pilsner on tap though, so I shall re-visit, when I'm next in Sheen (which is not very often these days). Marks out of ten for the staff... 12 !! TJ

Food is over-priced, and average at best. Found the service was ok, and the music & singing is a nice touch, but there are better restaurants if you want to eat, and better venues if you want to listen to live music and singing.

Tries to be be both and suffers a result IMO

Not a bad little restaurant/bar, but very over-priced for what is very average food. I wouldn't rush back simply because I don't like being ripped off for the sake of hearing an out of work pub singer doubling up as a waitress.

You need a vivid imagination to refer to this place as a "pub".
It's a pleasant enough place, but why call it something it clearly isn't ?

I must of had a bad night as the food was bland. They rushed us through - we had 2 courses in less than an hour! It was supose to be a romantic night but it was ruined! Would never go back. Very disapointed

Fantastic for a romantic dinner or group of friends. Great food and atmosphere and if you like your red meat definately try the steak!!!

Awesome - had a superb night. The service is efficient but in a relaxed manner - no two hour dining limit, great cocktails and wine, great singing voices and pianist. The food was delicious too. I have beent o some great London restuarants but I rated this above them all for the all-round atmosphere and service.

The restaurant is very friendly and serves modern eclectic food with good value wines.
Suggest that you edit and correct the atrocious spelling from "Mark"
