You really don`t have to say it twice old feller. But people like you slerp who need a nappy change every half hour because they are so full of it don`t smell nice at the best of times.

Be appy in your dark world.

I've been there on 3 occasions and the food, service and general ambiance has been excellent everytime. The food is quite simply sensational - the best place I've ever eaten, the service is unfussy and the barstaff are always really friendly.

If you're a foodie this place is a must.

I visited this place recently and ate the best meal I've eaten since I last visited a Wimpey bar.
However I was disappointed to discover that they do not sell Pepsi Floats.

MeTheJudge is completely and utterly wrong. We visited here shortly after it was awarded it's Michelin Star and found the staff extremely efficient and friendly, and the meal the best I'd eaten for years. We always recommend the Sportsman to friends and relatives, and they all love it.

Clearly the low rating is down to a complete **** giving it a zero. Let's see if my 10 will up it.

I had to laugh, when I saw this place come up. Sorry, but The Sportsman, is well and truly up it's own backside. How it ever got a michelin star is beyond me...Some people must be easily pleased with average food and sub-standard service.

ladhimself is clearly a complete peasant. This is one of the best foodie pubs in the area and deserves the fantastic reputation its got!

Fantastic food!

I love this place, they serve the best pork scratchings in Christendom and you never have to book, or anything swanky like that.
They even let you bring your own sandwiches. i had a ceese and ham sarnie with me on my last visit and they even toasted it for, for free. In one of those posh toasters too.
To drink I had a glass of tap water with an olive on a stick in it!

This has to rate as the best greasy spoon called the Sportsman in Seasalter.

Shepherd Neame pub, beers always in good order and always a seasonal on. The Late Red I had in December 09 was in superb nick.

More a restaurant than a pub, this isn't the place to walk to without the intention of eating. One of the better gastropubs you'll find.

Well, to start with, this pulls at the boundaries of what is a pub given that the only pub seating is in the conservatory or outdoors, both of which in the bleak grazing marshes of Seasalter would be rather unapplealing in winter. The beer too is distinctly average Sheperd Neame banality. However, the main attraction is Good Food Guide 2010 Chef of the Year, Stephen Hughes, food, which is the finest of fine dining in bare pub surroundings. As restaurant the food is superb but is it really a pub? No complaints over a majestic meal of wood pidgeon followed by some of the loveliest lamb I've ever eaten and a delectable selection of unpasteurized cheeses.
