This place has sunk to a new low? It has turned it to a dirty perverts strip joint just what the greases dirty old man the manager always wanted

Now that New Cross has lost 2 of it's most staunch Millwall pubs (Royal Archer and Duke of Albany) to the developers, it's not surprising that this pub, near the tube stations, picks up a lot of the matchday trade. Any other day, it just seems like a normal SE14 boozer, of the type all too fast disappearing.

Lease is for sale. The ad makes fascinating reading baring in mind what's said below. Asking price is 425k, 5.500/week takings, 100 percent wet sales. That seems a high price for the claimed sales. They must reckon massive potential, but who'll risk that kind of money on a sump pub? Where's the nearest Weatherspoons?

This used to be my local and is quite a fascinating place.

As my last posting was removed I will try and moderate my criticism of this pub - not easy to do!
It remains the worst I have drunk in for several decades and the landlord is clearly in the wrong profession.
This establishment is entirely devoid of any charm, welcome or pleasent atmosphere. The barstaff generally leave after a couple of weeks and who can blame them?
If Beer In The Evening are compiling a book of London pubs The White Hart deserves a special feature as:
'SIMPLY THE WORST'

Well, I can say that the White Hart is the finest example of a pub, and while I cant argue with the fact that a lot of the customers are mental alkys, there is something about the White Hart that I quite like.

i think it might be the fact that if you drink pints then its the cheapest place in New Cross. Otherwise its not good.

the karaoke nights are the funniest, the compere just wont give up the mic, so if you fancy watching an overweight middle aged guy with a shite voice singing Robbie Williams songs all night then its the place to be!

incredibly devoid of students given the prices, but this is probably because its full of nutters.

Avoid anytime when Millwall are playing, it gets progressively more terrifying.

well dodgy, went in there for a pint and never went back. The 4 people that were in there, 3 of them staff, watched me drink my pint in silence. What it would be like drinking in the old east germany...

Dodgy pub, very unpleasent landlord. Beer is cheap but most of the daytime (I didn't come back in the evening) customers seem to be hardcore alkys. Didn't feel comfortable here. There are some nice pubs in the area but this isn't one of them. I think the main problem is the landlord. I heard some nasty stories about him when I visited other pubs in the area. Avoid the White Hart.

If you are in New Cross and you fancy a pint go to the Five Bells or the Hobgoblin. In fact, you would do better to buy a bottle of White Lightning and sit with the winos by the church than to drink in The White Hart.
The White Hart is the worst pub I have entered in years, the landlord Ken is a horrible, arrogant piece of work and his barstaff are surly and unwelcoming. This is a truly terrible pub! God knows what the adjoining hotel is like. Avoid like the plague.

This place is terrible. The owner (Ken) is an arrogant SOAB who treats his staff and customers like they are dirt, just because he owns the place, Sneeze and you're barred. Think he's lost 90% of his customers this way. I see its become the White Hart hotel. Ha ha ha. My idea of hell would be staying an hour at this establishment....

The only good thing about this boozer is the 1.50 Guinness....
