Went to the Artisan pub in Chingford after recommendation from a friend a work.Very clean and friendly nice clientel. They were offereing what they call BLACKROCK GRILL.I had the lamb and my husband had the steak. The food was wonderfully presented and the tenderness of the meat was exceptional more restaurant standard but then again I guess this is the new concept. We will definitely be back again for more.Thank goodness we are once again seeing a revival of good home cooked food at reasonable prices in a nice environment.
Well Done Artisan

The new concept has arrived, along with a new name: now The Artisan.

So what's the new concept, I hear you ask? Cooking your own food at your table. Anyone remember The Mucky Pup in Islington? All overseen by the bloke who did the catering at Walthamstow dogs until it closed down.

Empty most nights.

Went past today, closed down and being thoroughly done up: "New Concept Bar & Grill Coming Soon".

Let's hope it is a new concept, as opposed to a haven for those banned from every other pub in Chingford Mount.

Nice small friendly pub where the beer is well kept. The darts throw is also good. The only downside was a wino whose main aim was to annoy everyone in the pub. He was dealt with in a pleasant and efficient manner by the landlord with a bit of back up from some regulars. Will certainly visit this establishment again.

Nice Small Frindly Pub. Excellent Guinness poured perfectly. And a good place to watch the odd football match, without any flying glasses.
