I have been into the Folly since Eva and her team have taken over the venue, and I must say that I will be returning - and on a regular basis.
It is so nice to finally have a Landlady who is going to stay - not another flyby-night Landlord and another closed pub.
I am looking forward to their new home cooked Spanish food menu, and their DJ plays fantastic music on Saturday nights, ideally suited to the slightly older, more mature generation.
All in all the Folly has become one of the jewels of Croydon/South Croydon once again, and its former unpopular image has been completely erased and is now a superb local with great beers, wines and spirit choices, great pub grub, great entertainment and most of all great atmosphere with no chavs, drugs, attitude or nasty hooligans.
I recommend the Folly to anyone looking for a great night out at the weekends, or for a quiet drink and tasty meal during the week!

went in on saturday for the rugby. Two big screens, pretty barmaids, clean and tidy. happy hour from 4 what more can you ask for. I'll be back

The Folly is a great pub to start your night out!. They do a great happy hour 4pm till 8pm everyday which gives you 241 on all draughts and spirits! The gorgeous bar staff (both male and female)have always been friendly to me whenever I have visited. Great homecooked food too and i can easily say that they make the best all day breakfast in South Croydon!!

my girlfriends and I had a great night out in here. All the staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was lively but relaxed, which is unusual for a pub this big. Didnt really see the chavs mentioned by other people. Only criticism - more toilet paper in the toilets please! Would highly recommend

I used to come here when I worked in Croydon and it was 0k. a good laugh when there was a group of us. They then started employing a load of young girls who wear...well not very much who flirt with the men and ignore the female customers and then be a bit rude when they would finally serve you. a few pikies do come here but overall I wouldnt say the place was trouble. I have never encountered it in the years I have been coming here!

I've been drinking down THE FOLLY / SPOOFERS for the last ten years, and yes it had gone downhill, but since Jerry has taken over, he has put in alot of time, effort and money into the pub, bringing it back to the busy days. There has been an increase of new and old faces coming to the pub.

A group of seven of us went for lunch, but the service was very poor - took them an hour and 20 minutes to produce a (cold) baked potato. The rest of the food was also of a very average quality. A free round of drinks on their part won't make us go back.

I have been going to this pub for nearly a year, and find the staff really friendly and nice, the atmosphere is great, busy most nights especially at the weekend. and they do good deals, 2 for 1 from 4pm until 8pm. DJ is ok. I think more people should try it out for themselves.

I have just taken over the owneship of this pub. It is in the process of being totally overhauled. There is a new big screen TV with another one due in April. A new menu will be up and running by mid april. New and friendly bar staff. Events nights are coming on line plus lots more in the pipeline.

Used to be really good, but gone downhill in the last year. Bar staff not too friendly but sometimes have good music on (rarely).
Try it if you cant get in anywhere else!
