Large and airy Wetherspoon's on two levels close to the town centre, Grove Theatre, Asda etc.

Busy even on a late Monday lunchtime but staff were quick and attentive.

From memory, around eight ales available, from the standards (Abbot, Doom Bar) to more interesting ones. The Devon beer I had was decent and no arguing about the price (£2.05).

was in with friends on christmas eve and ordered a batemans rosey nosey. Took one look and new from the colour it was a different beer. manager went to cellar to check and reappeared to confirm pump clip on wrong pump. Basic error, oh dear! Shame because it's beer has been good of late with the best selection of christmas ales locally.

Much, much improved pub, as the whole of Wetherspoons seems to have been over the past year or so. Beer consistently in excellent condition, with the JDW usual good mix of beers. Also the JDW usual awful service, though, so that hinders my rating somewhat.

the best spoons I have used breakfast are good real ale festivals are excellent now they got the temperature right was little over chilled , only problem is getting served when busy but then your paying 2.25 for pint its worth the wait.
Christmas time Real ale quality can go due to how busy they get.

Typical 'Spoons with all that means - cheap but corners cut.

But one of the better ones.

Modern place, high ceilings and huge windows looking over small park on one side.

Plenty of real ales, Prices good, food as you would expect, just one prob...it's a ten mile hike to the upstairs toilets

Only worth a visit if you've got time to kill. It can take up to 25 minutes to get served - no matter how full the bar is, as the management seem to insist on only having one member of bar staff for every fifty or so customers at best. I realise JDW's policy is all about cost cutting, but it should never be at the expense of customer service.

Real ale - a good selection but, as always at the Gary Cooper, served far too cold. I'm reliably informed that the local licensing officer has (when off duty) told them to remove the chiller lines on at least one occasion. Shame they seem to be ignoring the police as much as they do their customers!

Nice to be able to sit outside on a summer's day, and can be a pleasant pub. Cheap and cheerful, but you get what you pay for.

The service may be on the slow side but I have had very good meals on the various club nights. The real ale is some times on the cold side but I nearly always go for a pint from one of the local breweries. Good place for a cheap early breakfast. I dont fit the description posted on 3rd Jan!!!!!

this pub may be cheap but be warned the food is disgusting , it is full of a lot of job seekers and people do get pissed very easily on little here - however if you are 18 , tarty and chavvy you will fit in very well

Slow service but one of the cheapest pubs in Dunstable. Pint of Fosters was almost one pound cheaper than the Norman King. The food and beer is not only cheap but cooked to a fairly good standard. Opens at nine in the morning which is handy for breakfast. Both the bar and toilets were very clean. You get the odd pisshead in because of the cheap beer but they cause no trouble and keep themselves to themselves. Its cleat that this pub is stealing trade from the Norman, Sugar Loaf ect and all the local landlords say they can't compete with the prices but maybe they should try competing with the service. Staff are always polite at the Gary Cooper and my food always comes out hot. The last time I had something to eat at the Norman I had some big bird in a blue T-shirt hovering over me who was apparently the chef.
