please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Lengthy walk out of town but worth it. Choice of bar or lounge on entry - I went right into the bar. You can tell from the noticeboard how seriously they take their beer....

Choice of Bass or TT Boltmaker. Bass in perfect condition.

Lovely place.

stumbled across this pub with a mate as we was desperate for the loo. Decent old school traditional pub, TT Landlord @ £3 per pint. Outside toilets though which coud do with an upgrade!

As old fashioned as they come, serving a quality pint of Pedigree.
Friendly owners who make you welcome. Great for travelling football fans going to Burton Albion 1kilometer away or even Derby County 12 kilometers away.

An old school pub of two halves. Was disapointed with the ale choice of Bass & Pedigree but the landlord who has relatively recently taken over (after being a regular for a long time) is intending to increase the range. Am usually a little dubious about trying Bass but this is as good a pint of it as you will get. Outside toilets but no worse than many other places. Found it to be a nice friendly old style local.

This is a one of a kind pub, visited this with my dad the other week for the first time and i must say me and my friends were suitably impressed. If your are looking for an authentic old real mans pub then this is it. Pork pie and cheese on the counter, racing on the telly and the best pint of Pedigree you will find. An experience you wont forget. I didn't think i would be able to drag my partner away!

Like a time warp, you go in and there's racing on the box all the time and the landlords face looks like it'd crack if he smiled. There's a pungent smell of old mens BO and rotting vegetation lingering through the air. I'm sure one bloke in there lost control of his bowels when I was in there. The smoking area leaves a lot to be desired, a manky old gazebo and no patio heater. The toilets look like an open sewer and there were discarded syringes lying around on the floor and i needed to get a key to go in the place! It took me about 10 minutes to get served and it wasn't exactly service with a smile. Average age of punter 72 and a half. If I was you I'd give this place a miss!

This is a friendly local on the outskirts of town with really old fashioned decor, a bit of the 50's feel to it. The customers and staff shared a lively banter and it was very much a community local. Papers laid about on seats and a large old TV standing in one corner gave it a lived in feel.Enjoyed my Pedigree too.
