user reviews of the Crown, Greenwich

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

The Crown is situated on the main road into Greenwich from the east. It has a nice, dark interior. The pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven at the rear looked nice and they certainly smelt very nice. On the ale front, the range was ok, without being too inspiring. I went for the Crown Ale (Ringwood Boondoggle), whilst there was also St Austell Proper Job, Adnams Bitter & Twickenham Naked Ladies. Sadly, there is no real cider. For a far better ale and cider range, head further away from Greenwich to the River Ale House (not listed on here), which was easily my favourite new pub of the day.

the gpca only go here on a sat morning so couldnt tell you what its like in the evening im afraid. on the saturdays we go in we are normally the only ones in there .a pub that seems to have seen better days and has been forgotten about which is a shame .the beer is normally ok though

Smallish (I suppose) 'traditional' pub on the main Trafalgar Road in East Greenwich.
Decent enough crowd in here.
Lately they seem to have cornered the local market in 'hen nights for £10, strippers included' specials.
Shine on you crazy diamonds...

There was some excellent live music in The Crown last night (23rd march 2012). Hopefully there will be more.
