Its open now. Pleasant looking pub, covered in hanging baskets and plenty of signs for forthcoming attractions.

Decent pint of Wye Valley HPA and a very good jukebox.

Good pub.

This pub has been closed for a few months now. However yesterday I walked past it. It was a hot day, the door was open and it was open for business again. I didn't go in as I had just been to the Prince of Wales so I cannot offer an opinion but I do wish the new management all the best.

Looked very closed today unless they keep all the curtains closed during daylight hours.

could do a lot worse. nice and small (cosy) pub with firendly barmaid and friendly locals.

As a local resident with bar experience, I have to say that this pub ticks all the boxes on my checklist:
Clean and tidy - tick
Decently priced, HOT food - tick
Staff who are not robots - tick

I think there is a culture where many customers think that the word 'No' equals rudeness. The word is there for there to be an enjoyable experience across a variety of customers for example, the safety of the customers (especially regarding children) due to the size and layout of the pub as well as so different demographics of people can visit (I.e.the volume and genres of music on the jukebox). I am a film believer that this pub is part of a sadly dying group of locally owned businesses, and should be celebrated for it's idiosyncratic character. After all, we wouldn't want it to just be another chain would we? I say embrace a pub with a personality!!

Very cosy pub, excellent food that is very good value for money. I wanted to go back for dinner the same day it was that good. Can't comment on the beer side coz I'm a girl and just had orange juice and lemonade but the old man had a cider and there were no complaints.

I went to the Unicorn for Sunday Lunch, I found the staff charming and attentive. The lunch was probably the best I have ever had at a pub. The lamb was tender and juicy and the vegetables freshly cooked. Would and have recomended it to anyone.

The landlord was very nasty too me and there is no excuse for that! If he doesnt want my custom fine but there is no need to be nasy about! Stay away as the landlord obviously doesnt want customers!

Lets begin with the food. It tastes like cardboard. Where do they get their ingredients? The toilets are messy and a disgrace and there is no lock on the door of the cubicle. The worst bit is the behavour. I have seen a group of people obviously had too much to drink getting verbally agressive with each other even offering to fight each other. The staff do nothing to discourage this behaviour. They just watch and laugh at it. It is as if they are encouraging anti social behaviour instead of discouraging it! I urge the management to get their act together and make a few changes because at the moment I dont feel confortable going in there and I cant recommend it to any of my friends.

When I walked through the door, wasn't expecting too much. As the various local establishments had hardley filled me with a fire to return to the Malverns.

But the welcome sight of a hand pumps, and Timothy Taylor
"Landlord" Bitter, first pint went down without touching the sides of the quaffable life giving nectar, followd by five more pints, then a pint of the locally brewed "Black Bear" Malvern Hills Brewery, just to balance thing out.

Food, simple fare looked like it was cooked, and not "pinged". - good price.

Staff friendly and attentive, knew their ales, and how to present the optimum pint.

Could have stopped all day, if we didn't have too catch a train back to Birmingham - will defiantly return to the Unicorn.

I can picture in my minds eye, a crisp frosty January morning, a bisk walk up to the summit of Beacon Hill, then comming back down, seeing the smoke drifting a long, back lite by Wintee sunlight from the Unicorns roaring log fire, supping Taylor's Landlord ale accompanied by a very good lunch-- bliss.

Very agreeable pub with good reasonably priced food and real ales. We always head for the Unicorn when we are in Great Malvern.

Traditional nice looking old pub at the top of the hill leading from the station. Comfortable seating and three real ale pumps with some local beers, CAMRA newsletter available. Part of the pub is given over to an eating area. Worth a visit.
